Story
When fire ravages Wyoming land, fireweed is among the first plants to return, brightening a blighted area with the joy of its blooms. Small-town lawyer Taylor Anne Larsen faces the challenge of doing the same for the pain-ravaged heart and disbelieving soul of ranch foreman Cal Ruskoff. Armed with the same grace and grit as the wildflower fireweed, Taylor also has allies - a matchmaking friend, the Wyoming winter, high-octane mutual attraction, and a rescued puppy who slips past Cal's defenses.

Publisher's Summary
Lisa Currick was once as bright and open as the sunny Bur Marigold wildflower of her native Wyoming. That's how New York City Detective Shane Garrison has remembered her since she figured in his first investigation eight years ago. But when he arrives in her hometown determined to resolve the final element of that case, he discovers the girl he's remembered has become a very different woman.
Once open-hearted and artistic, Lisa has put all that aside for a life of order and discipline. And Shane wants to know why. He can't forget the girl, but he's fascinated by the woman who challenges him to find answers inside himself.

Shane and Lisa
Ok, I'll admit it, I am a huge fan of this series! I love it. Shane and Lisa have been apart for 8 years, and when they were together originally, they weren't. Can they overcome their differences? Love the story and the narrator brings the story to life!

My Heart Remembers
Where does My Heart Remembers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is up there in the top 10. I loved the fact that these characters had a history, there is romance, mystery and the way the author brought the story together in the end, working out a life that worked for both the H&H.
What did you like best about this story?
Shane was a very stand up guy. He never took advantage of Lisa when they first met and when they were brought together again because of the necklace. It was a nice touch at the character who played match maker through the story (don't want to give away anything).
Which character – as performed by Julia Motyka – was your favorite?
Jack. He came across as strong and determined.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The ending always gets me when the H&H realize what they mean to each other.
Any additional comments?
Loved this series by Patricia McLinn.
