Publisher's summary

After exposing her secret to a church full of wedding guests, both Jackson and Matt leave Emily standing unmarried and alone at the altar. But that doesn’t mean that neither of them will offer her a future.

With a baby on the way, now Emily must decide what to do next.

Matt professes to love her, but he also loves her bank account. He is the safe choice, but the idea of spending the rest of her life with Matt leaves Emily feeling uncertain.

Jackson is the one who has stolen her heart, but everything he is offering her is out of a sense of duty, not love. Why won’t he let anyone get close to his heart? Can she really choose a future with someone who doesn’t have feelings for her?

Emily needs to focus on her future, but the past is creating a lot of havoc. Matt, Jackson, and Irene are keeping so many secrets, and the more she digs, the more complicated things become. Emily wants her happily ever after, and that requires a leap of faith.

Her only request? Please don’t crush my heart.

This full-length Navy SEAL and virgin romance is part two of a two-part audiobook series. It is intended for mature audiences.

It's In The Details!

First let me say that I love the storyline. The narrator however, is horrible!! It was really hard to get through the entire set of audio books listening to her nasally voice. She sounded like a kid half the time. Second, I am a details person so in Chapter 16 of the second book where Jackson is telling Emily about his fight with Morgan he states that he said awful things to her right before he got on the plane and the next morning he was in Emiliy's loft. However, the next morning in Emily's loft Jackson has his truck. Can't fly and have his truck. If you would like me to read your books for details prior to their release I would be happy to. As a 20 year veteran, I am a detail oriented person.

Warm & fuzzy story

The story was compelling. I wanted to see what was going to happen next. However, the narrator was annoying. She did an excellent job with the female characters. The male characters, not so much. They were made to sound choppy and without inflection. Very, very fake. No Emotion regardless of the character. I know the character was not supposed to be emotional as such, but the hoarseness and abrupt manner of speaking was most annoying to me. Not realistic at all. I did enjoy the story in spite of this major irritation.

Love this series!

This book and audible book helped me remember why I love reading! Every time I get stuck in a rut, I re-read these books or listen to the audible book and fall in love all over again!

one of my favorite books. I loved the strong male lead and how obviously he could be. I have listened to this multiple times.

Loved the book more than audio

I enjoyed the book a lot. I did not like the narrator‘s male voices and I felt their overall voice is more suited for a teenage fiction audio.

I hated to love this story…. Read full review.

First the narrator…she was great but I absolutely Hated her Man voices…. I would have definitely had someone else read the man parts. Other than that she did awesome!!

Now… So I loved the story I just feel it could have been better. Book 1- was very frustrating. I thought Emilie was such a pushover and have no backbone, and I was hoping it was something she would out grow. She did in a sense but not the way she should have… especially having money like she did. I loved Jackson and Emilie’s apparent attraction to each other through out… the serial killer… was definitely wasted in this story. Anyone could have attacked her in the park and done what happened. But to start the whole book with a serial killer news warning and have a few attacks… I feel that the serial killer plot of this story was a waste. I liked how book 1 ended on a cliffhanger. Which brings us to Book 2- I have never been so angry at someone in my life, like I was with Emilie in this book… pardon me but she was a total puss…. I wanted to reach in my ear when her stupidity would reach my eardrums and slap the crap out of her. I almost stopped reading, but then thought… I have to keep going, because no one could see and hear the things emilie does between Harper and Jackson and not stand up for herself. So I pressed on… and When the text thing came out I was like oh yeah now she’s going handle her shit… she’s rich she can do this on her own, and when she took the pup and left! I cheered! I was so happy for her. But then Flop…. Jackson finds her… and Little miss puss pants is back. And I was of course rolling my eyes again. But when Jackson’s truth finally came out! I was like DAMN it I hated him for so long… I shed tears for Emilie (her love story with Jackson hit a little close to my life, so yes I cried… verbal abuse is still abuse, even if you love someone) anyways I digress. When he finally opens up… I understood him more. So the way she kept loving him, no matter, what he did or said… made sense to me and I was like well craptastic now I can’t be mad anymore. So their story turned out to be a beautiful love story. About not letting people who aren’t in your relationship control your relationship, with their lies and manipulations. It about you and your spouse only. That you have to let your fear, about what others think, Go! Live for you and your family. And as they found out… communication Is Key in a strong united relationship. And never stop trust your partner based on things you don’t see and hear with your own eyes and ears. In the end this turned out to be a beautiful story, and it definitely was a learning experience aswell. I enjoyed it and I hope if you are like I am, you finish reading the whole thing before you write a review… bc in the world of books… anything can happen, and you never know how it will end.

Love the story but hated male voice, it was a robot I think. Girl was a bit nasal and young sounding but that worked

At every point I wanted to punch this girl

WTF!!! No one, NO ONE is as stupid and idiotic as the woman in this book! She should be institutionalized… the story would’ve been great if she had some sort of logical thought. I had to finish because I bought it… but at every point I wanted to shake her and punch her a little…
