The shifter thing barely signifies

“The most domestic evening ever…”
This is mostly about the sweetest, most accepting, most adoring guy ever being the perfect partner to a single mom and her kid. Gifting her a tree, buying tons of presents, playing house … just your usual wish fulfillment for an instant partner.

The shifter thing gives a mild, completely predictable climax. And, there’s the author’s trademark sex with “nether lips” mentioned. This lacked the fun and camp of the author’s Kodiak Point shifter books and was therefore kind of vanilla.
