INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

#1 New York Times bestselling author Jan Karon gives her beloved fans what they want for Christmas: a new Mitford novel.

When Father Tim’s wife, Cynthia, asks what he wants for Christmas, he pens the answer in a love letter that bares his most private feelings. Then the letter goes missing and circulates among his astonished neighbors. So much for private.

Can a letter change a life? Ask Helene, the piano teacher who has avoided her feelings for a lifetime. Ask Hope, the village bookseller who desperately needs something that’s impossibly out of reach. Or, if you’d like to know how a brush with death can be the portal to a happy marriage, Cynthia will tell you all about it.

In My Beloved, Harley gets an important letter of his own; a broken heart teaches the Old Mayor, Esther Cunningham, a lesson long in coming; and thanks to Lace and Dooley, readers get what they’ve been waiting for: Sadie.

Poignant, hilarious, and life-affirming, My Beloved sets a generous table for millions of readers who love these characters like family. With Karon’s signature humanity shining through on every page, this is a season of life in Mitford you won’t want to miss.

I love Jan’s portrayal of the emotions and drive behind the simplest behaviors…she KNOWS people!❤️and the gentle humor is so refreshing in a hardened jaded world 🙏

HUMANITY 🙏❤️

I have massively enjoyed the whole series (3 times!), however, this book was a lot of review of character's history and I often found I was bored. Still, it was lovely to reconnect with characters I've missed and I enjoyed seeing the growth of Dooley, Lace, Jack and Sammy.

the trip Tim's letter made.

The former narrator passed away. We cannot have him narrate the new books. However, I would like to have had an older Voice doing the voices for father Tim, especially. The narrator is not good at women’s voices… However, the book is stunning and it has answered so many questions. Of course we can make up endings for ourselves, but it is so much better when Miss Jan fill in these wonderful characters lives for us. I am so blessed to have one more of her books to listen to, and to read, and I hope for another one someday! However, I really do recommend a different narrator.

I love Jan Karon! I’ve been waiting for this book. She is wonderful!

It was so good to catch up with my old friends from Mitford! Jan has done it again. I loved how she recaps the past and brought it into the present. I appreciate her talents and time she so graciously shares with her readers!

Fabulous!

I have loved every one of the Mitford books with the exception of this one. I think the storyline may have been good, but I could not get past the very poor narration to enjoy the storyline. This was a very disappointing end to the Mitford series.

Disappointed
