Publisher's summary

From the USA Today best-selling cozy mystery writing team of Sally J. Smith and Jean Steffens comes the next to-die-for novel in the Aloha lagoon Mysteries series....

Travel agent Gabby LeClair, a divorced big-city transplant trying to find some aloha spirit in her soul, prides herself on working hard to give the Aloha Lagoon Resort guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But that turns out to be more than anyone bargained for when the body of a client is found dead during one of Gabby's island tours.

The victim is a lawyer who's escorted a small group to Aloha Lagoon for distribution of a deceased billionaire's estate...but it looks like someone believes the only good lawyer is a dead lawyer. Between the bad press causing her phone to go silent and the police working on "island time", it's up to Gabby to find the killer before her business goes belly-up. With the help of her good friends, and a hot helicopter pilot with a flirtatious streak, Gabby turns sleuth to figure out just which member of the lawyer's party had it in for him. But before long it's clear there's way more at stake than her livelihood, and if Gabby isn't careful, she and her friends may find themselves on an island getaway to death.

A good cozy mystery

This was a pretty good cozy. The story was good and I would read more of the author's books. Some of the characters you just want to slap and others you wanted to love. Janelle Bennett did a great job of narrating and bringing the characters to life. I received this audiobook for free and this is my honest review.

morales lost by many

Not a fan of Alice who was a cheap opportunist and user without morales. Yuck! Glad that Gabby and friends found a way to keep her employed. I liked how supportive her friends were. The cop was an obnoxious jerk thst let otherd do his ground work for his lazy self. The killer was pretty cold hearted and without remorse. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Okay Cozy

This was an okay cozy, nothing really jumped off the pages, or should I say jumped into my ears to excite me. Janelle Bennett did do a pretty good job of narrating. I received this audiobook for free in a promo, and I am giving my voluntary unbiased review.

Nothing like a good murder

Gabby buys a travel agency business at the Aloha Lagoon Resort on Kauai. She books tourists on excursions around Kauai and also books off island travel and operates the same as other travel agencies.

A group of relatives of a recently deceased man comes to the resort for the reading of the will and the lawyer books all of them on an excursion to the Fern Grotto. When the group is ready to leave the lawyer is missing and Gabby and her bus driver, Koma, look for him and find him dead in a cavern.

After the murder Gabby's business dies off as tourists cancel their bookings to Kauai over fears of an unknown murderer wandering the island. Gabby and her crew decide to try to figure out whodunit and Detective Ray who was involved in the murder in the first novel in this series isn't too happy with their sleuthing.

It is very well narreted by Janelle Bennett she really gets you into the story. I'm looking forward to the next one.
