I love the characters and the narrator. The book is also funny. Julie Mulhern is one of my favorite authors.

Fast pace story and great characters

I wasn’t sure I’d like this series but after a couple of chapters, I couldn’t put it down. It has lots of action, suspense & little chihuahua with a big attitude. Poppy Fields is the daughter of a famous movie star & she wants to make her own way in the world without relying on the fame of her mother or living off her mother’s money. When she accepts a promotional offer from a resort in Mexico, her life is in for a big change. I’m definitely getting book 2 in this series.

I have enjoyed the Country Club series but this book and the sequel (couldn’t even finish it) are very disappointing. It’s silly and not even remotely believable

Regrettable

The cuteness this book starts out with becomes tedious pretty quickly, but the protagonist is only 23. The plot sounded like it could be good, but never lived up to its promise. At the end, she seems to magically mature, so there could be hope for the series.

Incredibly slow development of the story and the scenes go on too long, in my opinion. This audible book is not for me.
