Welcome to the Patel Motel. It's a killer place to stay.

When Milan Patel visits his parents at their family-run motel in Montana, he's expecting the usual drama. But shortly after he arrives, his father mysteriously dies in the motel pool. Now everyone's a suspect.

What was meant to be a quick trip becomes Milan's worst nightmare, as he races to solve his father's murder while confronting the past he tried to leave behind.

Both surprising and darkly funny, Murder at the Patel Motel is a witty, Agatha Christie-style mystery about a complicated Indian-American family, the gay son who vowed to never return home, and a small town that prefers its secrets stay buried.

Starring an acclaimed ensemble including Maulik Pancholy, Murray Bartlett, Poorna Jagannathan, Karan Soni, Anna Camp, Adam Pally, Margo Martindale, Richard Kind, Conrad Ricamora, Iqbal Theba, Julian Shapiro-Barnum, and Padma Lakshmi.

Please note: This show is for mature audiences only. It contains explicit language, sexual references, and adult themes. Discretion is advised.

A delightful whodunit
Looking for a fun audio mystery? Check out Murder at the Patel Motel, starring and co-written by the talented Maulik Pancholy from 30 Rock. The story follows Milan Patel, a New York City event planner who visits his family's dingy motel in Montana. What starts as a normal visit quickly turns into an unexpected adventure when Milan finds himself in the middle of a murder mystery. With a fantastic ensemble cast whose familiar voices you'll enjoy spotting throughout, this Agatha Christie-style tale blends humor with heart. Mixed in with the mystery is a touching story of a gay son who vowed never to return home reconnecting with his roots while navigating family dynamics and small-town secrets to solve the case. —Tricia F., Audible Editor

I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy and fun listen with a lot of surprises. I thought it was a really interesting take on guilt, loss, and the complexities of family. I'm slightly interested in this becoming a series but think it's great as a standalone book.

Enjoyable easy listen
