Publisher's Summary

Mike Hammer is a popular guy. At least with certain people. Several failed assassination attempts have got him riled, so apart from preventing the kidnapping of a famous New York socialite, he's hell-bent on figuring out who wants him dead...someone who's desperate for the kill of his life.

A fitting tribute

I read that Mickey Spillane said that Mike Hammer doesn't rey age and he will never die. Hes a hero hes immortal and even though Spillane is gone the love for his work by people like Collins and Keach make it possible for him to live on in print and audio. This was a good story with a great ending with plenty of classic Hammer.

Classic Mike Hammer Style

A Page turner, great story from beginning to end, and very well performed. Perfect length to listen to in one sitting.

The climax is like the slamming of a sarcophagus.

A great story and a a great narrator. I love hard- boiled detective stories and this one simmers. Enjoy.

Contracts

A typical Mike Hammer, bad guys and good looking babes galore. This one is different in that a contract has been put out on Mike’s life and it’s up to him to figure it out before it’s too late.

Generous review

This book is shallow story of male arrogance, hypocrisy and self presumed entitlement. The only thing good about it was it was free and I didn’t have to return if for refund. 2 hours in and I could take anymore.

Good enough to read twice!

Initially it took me a while to get used to Stacy Keach’s narration. For starters, he whistles his Ss and that was very annoying and distracting. After a couple of chapters I finally was able to get used to his style and thoroughly enjoyed the story. It was super good.

Just couldn’t get into this one...

Though I thought the narration by Stacy Keach was spot-on, the story itself never held my interested. I jumped two-plus hours just to find out the ending. Perhaps it was just me; I just didn’t care.
