I had an asthma attack!

I don’t want to give this away but when they were in the caverns I began to have an asthma attack. I had to go outside! About mid way I couldn’t stop listening, excellent work!
The narrator seems to move closer and farther from the microphone making the story not flow well at times. This is easy to not notice as much once you’re hooked!

Outstanding and terrifying work!

I was hooked from start to finish. The intertwined stories told with an exceptional narration, what could be better than that. A must read.

Yeti

I don't know what I expected but for some reason the yeti is the monster was kind of boring

great twist

whole series has been great. awesome tension and twist. stormy tundra. I wish there was more Bates on audible.

Well, not great.

The idea, good. The story, bad.

Every person seems to be in lala land. They are lost even when not in peril. The repetitious never ending annoying exposition bounces from flashbacks that unsuccessfully connect or just completely contradict the mainline parts of the story. I love horror. Horror that can carry itself without so much pointless dragging on. It looses itself all the way to the end. I feel the author wanted to write a book that was longer than the average horror novel, so he filled it with too much exposition. Pointless exposition. Just removing the nonsensical expositions would have cut the story in half. At least! But don’t take my word for it, listen for yourself. But I don’t recommend.

Ok, but...

There is maybe one likeable character in this story, the plot predictable and the narration was servicable.

Narrator is horrible

I don't think the narrator could have sounded more uninterested in what he was reading and editing was horrible.

A little too far-fetched

I enjoyed this book at the beginning, but it dissolved into a nonsensical, monster story, that in parts was totally ridiculous. The narrator also had some very strange pronunciations of certain words.
