A must read for every elect of God, this devotional truly honors our Lord Jesus Christ and speaks to every trial, tribulation of the saints and then peace and joy found only in Christ our Saviour. I listen repeatedly.

Spurgeon is Fabulous As Always! Great Narration!

What made the experience of listening to Morning and Evening the most enjoyable?

The narrator was key to this content!

What did you like best about this story?

The Devotional passion for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Have you listened to any of Christopher Glyn’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes! He is the absolute best narrator for Devotionals. Mr. Glyn is incredibly talented, I found myself almost thinking I was listening to Spurgeon himself! Excellent narration! He draws you into the devotions, you can tell Mr. Glyn has a passion for the subject matter. Just amazing. I went searching for more of Mr. Glyn's books and will be purchasing more of the books he has narrated!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely!

Any additional comments?

The combination of the Prince of Preachers and the amazing narration makes this a wonderful listening experience! Highly recommended!

The sweetest 2.5 mins of my am and pm.

In my youth, I felt Spurgeon seemed a bit overly flowery, and assumed that the flowery speech must surely be likewise lightweight. Nothing could be further from the truth. As I know know much more about the life and person of Charles Spurgeon, I see that he was a force to be reckoned with and a man of much substance. These short readings for morning and evening are a real encouragement and have enough meat to find myself pondering what he's said through the day. Each takes a small portion of scripture and expounds upon it. Yes occasionally one falls flat, but many are spot on.

I was concerned buying this, how would the audible format work with having daily readings, would it be hard to keep my place and so on, but with that hasn't been any trouble at all.

I'm not totally crazy with the music playing in the background, but it is tolerable. The PM music is not as annoying as the a.m, but given that each devotional is less than 3 minutes, it's not overly burdensome, and as I've enjoyed these so, the music has kind of grown on me, reminding me of my happy place.

Spurgeon knew the word of God, backwards and forwards, and he'd read the best of theology available in his time, and so much of that, comes out in his thinking here.

The narrator is very good and feels a good fit for Mr. Spurgeon, though there are no audio's of what he sounded like.

Wonderful Words but could use an upgrade (below)

This would be much better if the Words would also be shown while listening.
This would be much better if you could highlight, underline key passages and save your notes and sort your notes.

Such a wonderful devotional

What a gift from God this devotional has been. Every morning, before my quiet time, I listen to this man's sweet, soothing voice and the calming piano as he narrates these devotionals. Each one is a mine of gold- it puts me in a quiet mode of meditation and stimulates love and desire for fellowship with God. Praise the LORD for such a sweet, encouraging blessing as this audiobook.

Like the performance? Wait till you get to Sept.

I don't know what happened, or what made this happen, but when you hit the month of September, the Morning (only) readings do not follow along with the book. At first, I thought it was the book. As I read while listening, I listen to this, while reading along with the modern English translation by Alistair Beeg. They weren't following together at all in the Morning Section. So I purchased an early copy of Morning and Evening in the original old English translation. Guess what? The WRITTEN BOOKS followed together very nicely. On the Morning Section of (so far) September, the audio book does not follow EITHER of the written books. I NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS VERSION OF MORNING AND EVENING. If there is no other version, wait till something better comes along. Christopher Glen is overrated anyway.

Not complete

I buy audio books to read along with the books I have. It helps me focus. But this one skips about 5 pages. Starting at morning of September 8th (chapter 503) to evening of September 10th. Also there is a moment during the evening of August 19th (chapter 476?) where the reader messes up then goes back and corrects himself (funny)
