Publisher's Summary

"A smart, sexy, delicious novel." (People)

"Santopolo is a true master of matters of the heart." (Taylor Jenkins Reid)

From The New York Times best-selling author of The Light We Lost comes a tender and moving new novel about a woman at a crossroads after the death of her father, and caught between the love of two men.

Nina has always known who she's supposed to be. But is that who she truly is?

Nina Gregory has always been a good daughter. Raised by her father, owner of New York City's glamorous Gregory Hotels, Nina was taught that family, reputation, and legacy are what matter most. And Tim - her devoted boyfriend and best friend since childhood - feels the same. But when Nina's father dies, he leaves behind a secret that shocks Nina to her core. Soon, Nina begins to see the men in her life - her father, her boyfriend, and unexpectedly, her boss, Rafael - in a new light, finding herself caught between the world she loves and a passion that could upend everything.

More Than Words is a heartbreaking and romantic novel about grief, loss, love, and self-discovery, and how we choose which life we are meant to live.

Still waiting for something to happen!!

Its real hard to have a lot of empathy for the main character. Wealthy white girl with three homes, two men that love her, and now her own business complains she has lost everything! She never goes through a change to make her the slightest bit interesting. So many things could have happened that never did. In my book group we came up with so many different ways this story could have been better, with twists, etc. Nothing good about this book! Sorry it wasted my time!!

average story...

I really enjoyed this author's first book. but this particular story was just "okay". I would not necessarily recommend listening to it unless you really had nothing better to listen to.

More Than Words has more than my heart.

I believe the best books are the ones that change you because they connect to so many aspects of your soul that their message stays long after you’ve closed the book. More Than Words has done this for me. From the emotional loss of Nina’s parents to the search for her true self (and love). I have learned and grown as her story progressed. This book has made me smile, tear, laugh, and scream. I’ve enjoyed every second I spent listening and am fully planning on buying a physical copy of More Than Words. A story this beautiful should be read multiple times and cherished with the ones you love. Thank you Jill Santopolo, you have gained a fan.

Disappointing especially as I loved her first book

I was very disappointed in this book. The main female character loses her father fairly close to the beginning and thus undergoes “big” changes in becoming her own person ... the author portrays these “big” changes getting an ear cartilage piercing and cutting her hair. And breaking up with boyfriend . Ok. Let’s not forget that Nina Gregory is entitled and spoiled and quite frankly doesn’t have any challenges. It would be nice to have seen her have to deal with real hard issues that face women today. Instead she’s just handed everything . The huge issue of her father embezzling the company is just covered up. And she breaks up with fiancée and is in bed with another man and “in love” with him immediately. Please let’s write books that start to really deal with the issues that women face and how to overcome them with grace and fortitude. I would not waste my money on this book.

disappointed in this book

jill's first book the light we lost was such a great book that I was excited for this one but it just left me disappointed. the story is similar to her first book some girl has a good man and she leaves him for a new guy. except this book has no twist, no turns, no excitement, she definitely dropped the ball on this book.
