Publisher's Summary

One hot werewolf. One determined ghost. And a witch with a choice.

A werewolf and a ghost both threaten to be Cassie’s undoing. While one is all hot and spice, the other is cold and ice. The werewolf and the ghost couldn’t be more different if they tried. The one thing they shared was each stealing a piece of Cassie’s heart.

Her best friend Matt might be a ghost, but she never had to guess where she stood with him. When she meets the hunky werewolf Cole, he throws her world into a tailspin. With her thoughts consumed by Matt, she tries to remain open to her feelings for Cole, wanting desperately to have a normal life - as normal as a psychic witch can have.

Cole hasn’t told Cassie his dark secret: that he’s a werewolf. He hasn’t had a steady relationship in over a year, but with Cassie, things just seem to fall into place. He’s drawn to her unlike any other woman, and he wonders if she could be his destined mate. Will Cassie be able to handle the truth? Or, will the fact that he turns furry turn her off...

But with ghosts popping up here and there and a friend bent on causing trouble, can Cassie and Cole have a real shot at a relationship? Or will their budding romance be torn apart before it can really get started?

Cassie has a choice to make. Will she choose the hottest werewolf of all, or the ghost of her dreams?

Matt and Cassie Moonlight Haunting

Moonlight Haunting, the first book in the Ashton Grove Werewolves series is a sweet paranormal romance. The premise for the storyline is interesting and not strictly focused on shifters, other paranormal elements drive the plot. The characters are fabulous, and the romance is on the syrupy side. The narration by Holly Holt is great, her male voices are excellent. However, at times, I found her pace to be quick. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Matt and Cassie

This was definitely a good paranormal story. It was an intriguing, entertaining, and sensual journey to go on with Cassie and Matt.
Way to go Ms. Holly Holt for narrating both male and female characters! I truly enjoyed this book.

Caution, contains spoilers - by Shana W

I really had to push to finish this book. If it hadn't been an audiobook, I would have skimmed through till the end, but I was stuck having to listen. The only reason that I read the whole book was to find out the relevance of a very long description of a dream/vision that Cassie had (further spoiler: not too much). There were some parts that were overly detailed (like descriptions of showering, brushing teeth, make-up, signing papers etc.). There were other parts that made me cringe or roll my eyes.

Three women go on a girls' getaway and never spend any time alone together. Cassie meets Cole and it seems to be insta love between them; they have to stand up to one of Cassie's friends and one of Cole's brothers to make their relationship work. There is no compelling reason given why the friend turns on Cassie. It's just to create drama. Then when it looks like Cole and Cassie may have an HEA, Matt walks in on them in the middle of hanky panky, Cassie goes off with him, and there are no recriminations, no fighting, no ill will from Cole.  I will refrain from saying more about the plot. It's possible that some of my irritation is due to the narrator, for some mispronunciations and her narration style/voice in general. This book gets two stars because it's the author's first publication. The good news is that the author's books improve over time.

If you like ghosts...

There were parts that worked for me, but I struggled with the rapid POV shifts. An old fashioned kind of love story with a HEA.

I received an ARC copy through Story origin.

Moonlight Haunting!

This is the first story in the "Ashton Grove Werewolves" series. I have read and/or listened to other stories in the series and enjoyed them all. This one I was torn about because I so wanted a different outcome. I did like the end but was disappointed. The story is good and I love the characters! The story is about Cassie, a ghost and a werewolf. Cassie has special abilities; she sees and can communicate with ghosts. Cassie has had a ghost, Matt, that lives in her house. They have a very special friendship but it can never be more because he is a ghost. She takes a trip with her two friends where she finds out she is rooming with three men. The three men are brothers, and unknown to her, werewolves. Cole is one of the brothers and an attraction between them is pretty instant. One of her "friends" starts causing trouble and the unexpected happens. I enjoyed the story! I love most of the characters. I just wanted a different outcome.

Moonlight Haunting

This is a fabulous book, the characters are amazing, the relationships that are being built when the girls are on vacation. There will be more that happens once they return home.
The narrator has done well in changing her voice for different characters.
