Current social norms on Single parenting as well as dealing with self care and allowing others to assist. Brenda Jackson conveyed thought processes of each character with dignity and compassion. She did not get lost nor lose the clarity needed for open communication.

Narration through me off
Loved the story. I'm a huge Brenda Jackson fan and this did not disappoint. Definitely didn't care for the narrator, it was weird hearing him try to imitate the voices of the various characters especially the women. The voices were a huge distraction for me.
