Engaging story, Fabulous Narrator
This saga of the West captured me from the first paragraph thanks in large part to the superb narration by Joel Leffert. Having seen many of the actor's wide ranging roles, I knew his performance would be engaging. I was quickly convinced I was listening to Honore's tale from his own lips as we traveled from France to and across the US. Leffert brought all of the characters distinctively alive. Another narrator might have handled the detailed passages more dryly, but Leffert's performance made all of the book fascinating, including the making of adobe bricks. I highly recommend this book and narrator.

Fantastic and original!
I have kept this book downloaded since 2018 so its always ready to go, because its one of the best books I've ever read. It has something for everyone. Last week we lost power for a day and had no internet/ electricity. Even my teenage kids huddled around my tablet that night and hung on every word! I could go on and on... Just give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
