Publisher's Summary

Nine years ago, federal agent Samantha Moon was the perfect wife and mother, your typical soccer mom with the minivan and suburban home. Then the unthinkable happens, an attack that changes her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire.

Now in Moon Dragon, private investigator Samantha Moon investigates allegations by her dead ex-husband's mistress that a killer is on the loose... a killer who just might be immortal. And when another woman vanishes, the clock starts ticking....

As Sam digs deeper into the case, a very dangerous supernatural creature makes his presence known. A creature with a pedigree of evil. A creature who knows her all too well. A creature who just might be history's greatest mass murderer. Most of all, she needs to find the missing woman before it's too late - after all, Sam knows the intended time of the murder, but not the place. Now in a race against time, Samantha Moon is about to discover the lengths to which one sadistic pack of immortals will go to feed their bloodlust....

Great Bedtime and Travel Story

Dina Pearlman did an excellent job of narration. The storyline is not perfect, but it is very entertaining. Good listen for a road trip.

Another Great Book

Once again Samantha Rain saves the day. This is one of the best books in the series. I'm giving it 4 stars because ut is short. The length of the book is my only complaint.

Moon dragon

This was excellent! Usually this far into a series the story gets a little stale. However j.R Rain never gets old and stale.

Great vampire story

I love this series and all the issues that come up with a vampire mom/private investigator. Each book gets better and better also getting deeper into the mystery about Ms Moon. The narrator does great with the different characters. Can't wait to see what happens next. Highly recommended.

Sorry i don't read cat hater bs

The series was ok up to this point, but when he has his vamp kill tune neighbor's cat TOTALLY UNNECESSARILY AND TO NO POINT FOR THE STORY, that's it...... cat haters SUCK!!! IF she had been written as a animal killer anytime in the previous TEN PLUS BOOKS, ok...... or if this event had done ANYTHING to advance the story..... ok...... but this was totally gratuitous..... doing NOTHING for the story other than show me what a GIANT PUSSY POS the writer is!! To think up, write down, edit, and publish the killing of a NAMED neighbor's beloved cat shows what a closet hater the writer truly is!! She doesn't kill dogs..... she sleeps with one..... and on his bio page jr rain lives with a small dog so of course she couldn't kill a stray dog.....he writes in detail about her killing the neighbor's pet cat!! Freudian slip? Yeah..... usually the beta femme writer types that go for little dogs don't like cats for some reason...... regardless this one little TOTALLY UNNECESSARY bit of story TOTALLY put me off the story AND the writer!!! Too bad..... this was turning out to be an interesting universe to explore..... but i have no time for cat haters!! I never met the cat i didn't like, i never met the cat i wouldn't take a bullet for, and that i wouldn't DISPENSE bullets to protect and/or AVENGE!!! I like dogs fine too but cats are special..... and to put the time and effort into integrating the awful killing of one into the TENTH book of a series just proves the writer probably wants to do the same thing..... so SORRY JR..... YOU LOST ME!! FWIW
