You can't take it with you

A interesting revelation of Mr. Alcorn's past financial experience, that leads to a qualified personal perspective.

Helps to refocus money values and making "the main thing, the main thing."

You can't take it with you, but you can send it on ahead.

This is an investment reference of eternal proportions.

This is NOT a fund raiser, but a thought raiser. Don 't read this if you are looking to fluff you nest egg, it may cost you more than you bargain for.

a MUST READ for every christian person

As a theologian and wife a of a Bible college professor I think this book is not a book written by a man, is the word of God explained by a man. Randy reads his own book and makes it even more special since his inflexions and tones make the points more clear and penetrating. It is indeed life changing if you consider the Bible as your highest authority and you must read it with willing heart to do what the God calls you to do. It was a rough read and made me realize so many wonderful truths. This is a MUST READ, please get this book and find out how to get as much treasures in heaven as you can and hear the words "well done faithful servant".

Paradigm shifting

Randy Alcorn does a methodical job going through the theology, logic, and practicality of seeing our current money/possessions as God sees them and what God is calling us to do with it. More than just a repeat of some pastors plea to give larger amounts to the church, Alcorn focuses more on the attitudes and motives God wants us to hold in how we manage our wealth. Convicting? Yes! Helpful? Absolutely! Encouraging? Emphatically yes! Knowing how my actions now will alter my Eternal wellbeing is an exciting concept to hear about.

What a refreshing teaching on money!

What a refreshing and biblical teaching on money in light of eternity! So thankful to have read and learned from this book. Such a healthy and balanced view on the most avoided and yet the most discussed topic in the Bible. A must read for every serious follower of Jesus.

Thoughtful, Challenging, Needful

You probably won't agree with every one of Alcorn's ideas. If God moves you to the same conviction, great. But beware of simply adopting his convictions out of guilt...I don't think even he would want that. But listen carefully to why he comes to the convictions he does. Your convictions may be different, but what we do with the why is most important. In the end, we want to give a joyful accounting on the last day. This book provides help in striving to get there ourselves as well as leading others, particularly our families, to get there as well.

above and beyond

I loved this because it went above and beyond in practicality and reasoning. everything was explained in such a way that it made sense, it was Christ centered, and allowed for easy steps to take. The reading never got boring.
