Stocker much

this story worried me a bit...hearing our heroine be so ok with her lover's stocker tendencies did not sit well with me...story is ok...but needs another book where the characters show growth & maturity....

A new author for me!

My listening lists have gotten a little stale, but I’m so happy to have found Anna Zaires. This story kept my attention, characters were pretty well developed, and unsurprisingly, the narration was great. Two books for the price of one credit is definitely worth it!

The books in the series so far are outstanding!

I am enjoying how the books overlap and getting to see characters from one book show up in another. It makes for a very enjoyable ongoing story with new characters and let’s you check in on characters from past book(s). The narrators are some of the very best.

Great Performance, Mediocre Writing

These two narrators are some of my faves. They do a good job acting out the story and have nice voices. They sound appropriate for the ages of the characters too. Nothing worse than a 50 year old playing a 20-30 something. The story, however… meh. The couple fell in love too fast. There was no cat and mouse chase, which makes these types of stories fun. They met, liked each other and decided to be exclusive even before anything happened. Also, there was wayyyyy too much inner dialogue. It seemed lazy and like it was just a filler for a lack of story. I mean you could literally fast forward through several chapters and not be behind on the actual story. The entire second chapter of the second book, for example, was Nicolai saying he was upset that Chloe got shot. I won’t be purchasing this author again. It was my first time and my last time. Don’t know how this book has such good reviews. Standards must be pretty low.

Great story

Loved it ! But am I the only one that thinks the Russian term of endearment sounds like “side chick” … which kept taking me out of the story.

What happened at the end?????

It would have been better if there was an actual ending and not just left it at that.

incredible captivating dark thrilling , the story was amazing kept me on the edge and the narration brought the story even more to life.. 20/10

Not bad

I can’t say I loved it. It was an interesting story to listen to while I put together an exceptionally frustrating puzzle. It kept my mind occupied, was well written, and had decent narration. I liked the suspense and action scenes. But overall I think it will be fairly forgettable and will probably be an audiobook I won’t revisit.

Blah

The story was lackluster. The female character started string, determined. Then quickly turned stupid, whiny and obnoxious. So badly I wished the male character would have just opened the door and told her to deal with her assassins herself. I had so many issues with consent with this story too.. she refused to acknowledge anything and just made it sound like he removed all her consent with every encounter but still wanted him.

Good book

I was a good book...he is a bit abuses and she is thinking a lot about everything wi h was frustrated but ok...I didn't like the end because I didn't know what happen to the sister...I really loved the little boy though...

Highly recommended, fully enjoyed all the male growling and testosterone!!! Well worth the credit! Great narration!

Loved the attraction between cloè & Nicholi. Great listen. Steamy sex tension between them. Loved it & recommend it!

A good story

I enjoyed this story, the little boy is adorable. The two main characters had great chemistry. Chloe does a lot of speaking in the mind, I personally would have liked less of this and more communicating with each other. There's more to this story..... Hopefully, the books covering other family members will get some updates on these two.
