Great short story.

This is a short book, but very entertaining. It's an interesting side story about what happens after the events of Steelheart. It's read by the same great narrator.

I totally listened to this out of order

I totally listened to this out of the order of the series, but I couldn’t help myself. I wanted more from the amazing universe that Brandon Sanderson has created in this series.

I was right, this was a great Reckoners thirst quencher, perfect for wetting your mind for the next book to be released.

In Firefight I thought that David had become a bit reckless and way too confident. I think that Mitosis does a good job of addressing that fact. Here the Professor is out in Babylon doing reconnaissance for the upcoming adventure there. Then David and the Reckoners find a new high epic, Mitosis, in New Cago. Of course that will not stand.

Without giving anything away, let me say this. If you have already listened to Steelheat and find yourself wanting to be brought back to the Epic universe, all be it for an hour, you will not be disappointed at all. Fun, face paced, everything you will want other than length.

Macleaod Andrews delivers again. Quite honestly one of the most diverse, in the sense of voices, narrators I have ever listened to. Able to spit out various different accents and sexes at the drop of a hat. There is a reason I simply search audiobooks by his name alone.

This should have been added to firefight

Just plain and simple an hour and a half of the book Firefight. This should have been the lead chapters of that book. It does kinda tic me off that I spent a whole credit for it. Anyway I do love Brandon Sandersons books although this was a let down of sorts just because of how short it is.

Important read before starting Firefight

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did. It's a quick listen, but it's important to tie the first and second books together.

Quick funny and entertaining

Sanderson keeps his characters in perfection and writes soundly , also the reader is the perfect person for "David " and all the other characters.

not his best, but I still enjoyed it

the main struggle facing the Reckoners is too simple, but I guess you can only do so much with a story this short. If your a fan you will enjoy it.

Quickly becoming my favorite series of books.

I saw Mitosis but negelected to purchase it as I was so excited to dive into Firefight, but after hearing Mitosis referenced in Firefight, I had to know the story.

Not really impactful.

Should have been included as part of another book, as an independent short story it was kind of meh. Reasonably forgettable.
