Publisher's Summary

The New York Times and Wall Street Journal best seller about how Mitch McConnell has been bad for Kentucky - and why he needs to be voted out of office from the founder of Kentucky Sports Radio and attorney Matt Jones.

They say all politics is local. In 2020, Mitch McConnell will have served five full terms as a US senator. Thirty years. The Senate Majority leader's power is as undeniable as it is infuriating, and the people of Kentucky have had enough. Led by Matt Jones, they (and they alone) have the power to oust him from office.

How did Jones, a local boy turned attorney turned sports radio host come to shine the brightest light on McConnell's ineptitude? Simple - he knows Kentucky inside and out and has used the state's love of sports as an entry point for showcasing how McConnell has failed his fellow citizens both economically and socially for three decades.

Entertaining, maddening, yet ultimately inspiring, these stories from Kentuckians in each of its 120 counties illustrate the Senate Majority leader’s stunning shortcomings.

“Jones employs a sharp, political scalpel eviscerating McConnell...[and this book is] an effective combination of description and vivisection.” (Kirkus Reviews

Jones brings his trademark wit and wisdom throughout the book, while also offering a beautiful portrait of a state with arguably the most untapped potential in our country.

Ultimately, the white-hot hatred for McConnell on the coasts is just white noise. Only the people of Kentucky can remove him from office. Here, Matt Jones demonstrates he has the influence, charisma, and institutional knowledge to lead the charge. He and his fellow Kentuckians have had enough - and they’re ready for a fight.

Amazing

I listen to KSR daily so you know I love hearing Matt Jones voice. I enjoyed hearing this book from Matt directly since I knew how much time and effort he put into this and how truly proud he is to a Kentuckian. I also enjoyed Chris’ footnote comments as I’m not sure the effect would be as good reading them. Chris has a unique voice. It was also refreshing to have Jason speak as well. Great job!!

Great trip through the state

This is a great trip through the state I live in and love. Full of a lot of things I didn’t know about Kentucky. Very eye opening to the destruction of Mitch McConnell.

You'll be suggesting it to everyone you know!

This book a is an absolute treasure! It is brilliantly written with thoughtfully presented information. Matt and Chris do an amazing job presenting all sides of the story of Kentucky. It should be mandatory reading for all Kentuckians. Everyone else should read it too because it highlights issues in the forgotten parts of America that can apply nationwide. This book is thoroughly entertaining and makes me feel hopeful. I learned so much and enjoyed every moment of it.

A Real Inside Look to Kentucky

I only knew who Matt Jones was because my significant LOVES his alma mater, the University of Kentucky! Matt and Chris are quite entertaining, but also gives the listener a rare look inside all 120 counties of Kentucky, and how McConnell has screwed his constituency.

Two Thumbs up from a fellow Transy alum

Fantastic book by Matt Jones and Chris Tomlin. Mitch Please was a fascinating look at the recent history of the far corners of the state of Kentucky while giving a great picture of how the current political system is failing Kentuckians (and all Americans). My only regret is that Matt chose not to run for Senate (although I couldn't vote for him since I no longer live in Kentucky.) If only all politicians cared for their constituents like Matt would've.

Eye Opening

Incredibly well told stories from across our beautiful state. Truly eye opening recounting of some of the ways Mitch McConnell has worked effectively to hurt the people that should mean the most to him.

Save Your time and Money!

What a disappointment! Listening to this garbage is only slightly better than listening to to silence. In fact, silence is better than this slop. Jones' voice is annoying and his stories of Kentucky are embarrassing. I don't like his radio show. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this junk.

Awful

I am baffled by the 5 star reviews, although I know rating systems with few reviewers...you know what I mean,

I was forced to use all 3 categories to rate in order to write a review, but in fairness, the narrator was so horrible I only got through a few pages. The author is a radio broadcaster for sports. He read like he was broadcasting a game, and in this game the player was trying to make it to home, He also seemed to have sinus problems or a cold and his voice alone added to my inability to listen. Audio was the worst I have heard; it sounded as if he were talking into his phone rather than recording in a studio. I'm trying to return this book but Audible is not answering phones due to the virus. (?)

A note to the author: Put your ego aside and hire a pro to read in a studio. If cost is the issue, these features will pay for themselves.

Democrat fairy tale

This book is perfect for Trump haters! iwonder how many bridge's in Kentucky could have been replaced with the money Obama gave to Iran in the cover of night!
