Publisher's summary

Robin Cove has had enough of her boss, is over her boyfriend, and makes a split-second decision to leave it all behind. Too bad she didn’t check the weather forecast before she left. Stranded on the side of the road when her old car breaks down, Robin fears her impulsive action will be the death of her, as her body temperature steadily lowers to dangerous levels.

Matt Landry is slowly making his way home in the storm, when he finds an unconscious woman on the side of the road and rushes her home to his father Chris to save her.

When Robin wakes up, she finds herself in the kind of home that she has always dreamed of having, except for the handsome man with the surly attitude. As much as Robin wants to stay, she knows she’ll never win him over and needs to find the right future for herself.

Will Robin’s future bring her back to Chris and his kids? Or, will Chris lose the chance to have the love of a woman who will never leave him and the family he has always wanted?

Sweet and emotional read

Got this book for a honest review. I really liked this book. Such a sweet and emotional story. It made me feel like I was there. It was also a story that you could believe. I loved how the children were a part of the book and almost every scene. This is a great read I would suggest to anyone. It had everything a great book needs. Laughing, emotion and love.

great story

Fantastic story about finding love where you least expect it.

After moving away from her life in the city, Robin almost freezes to death along the side of the road. Lucky for her Matt Landry, who was driving along the same road in the storm, saw her and brought her home. Even luckier, Robin gets a glimpse of the life she really wants and the family she wants it with.

The path to each other doesn't always run smoothly for Robin and Chris, but fate has a way of bringing people together, even when they can't get out of their own way to do it themselves...

This was a quick read and a really sweet story. I loved the characters and the happy ending was pretty perfect.

I Really Enjoyed

This was a great story. The narrator brought it to life. You could feel the cold. Feel the emotions of the characters. I enjoyed the connection the kids had with Robin and they with her. Now if Chris and Robin can leave the past behind and focus on the future. Will the get their HEA? It is worth the listen. I received this as a gift and this is my voluntary review.

too short but sweet and a bit spicy

Sweet. Tender. Endearing. Single father with two children and the opportunity to instill in them the value of honor, respect, family, the right thing, love and unfortunately lose. Robin has been dealt a raw deal by more than one person in her life. On her road to the old familiar. She finds a chance at something new, different and life altering.

I loved getting to meet Robin, Matt, Chris and a little ray of sunshine. These few days of closeness brings about a huge change in the small family that finds a answer to the question none of them were asking.

I enjoyed Lisa Beacom voice. I loved her pitches, tone change, inflection and just all around. I found home with her voice and this story.

Quick read/listen

This is a quick story but packs a punch. If you think you’re having a bad day...Robyn loses her job, finds her bf and bff in bed together, has car trouble in a snowstorm, gets locked out of her car...all before the Christmas holiday! Luckily for her, a teenager discovers he partially frozen body and takes her to his house. Single dad, Chris Landry jumps into action the moment that his son brings in his rescue. So begins a sweet story of finding oneself and true love. There is some ‘ex-drama’ that just adds some excitement. You will fall in live with the youngest Landry! Highly recommend this if you’re looking for quick and cute.

Great Read

Mistletoe & Cocoa Kisses (Heart of the Family #1) was a good read by Stacy Eaton. Robin Cove had enough of her boss and finds her boyfriend in a compromising position. She decides on a whim to leave it all behind. She finds herself stranded on the side of the road in the middle of a storm. Matt Landry is on his way home in the storm and finds a woman unconscious. He rushes home to his father, Chris, to save her. She wakes up in a home that she's always dreamed of. Robin wants to stay with him and his children but knows she'll never win him over. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

perfect balance

This was such a great read / listen. Book 1 in Stacy Eaton's Heart of the Family series. The perfect balance of sweet and heat can be found in this romance. Both main characters - Robin and Chris have made some less than desirable choices in past relationships. In fact both are currently working to remove the last in a bad string but when Chris and his family come to Robin's rescue will the instant chemistry and quickly found love be enough to hold them all together? I absolutely love Chris' kids Matt and Geri - Geri having the best personality ever - you just can't help but fall in love with that kid!

Heart warming small town love story

This was my first book by Stacy Eaton and I loved it! It was a light romance meaning it was not too explicit and was a fun listen. It was a fast paced romance but that was part of what I liked about it. The story developed well and I really liked the characters. I love the single dad romance troupe too. This is the first in the series and I loved the whole series! You don't have to continue the series if you don't want to, it's not a cliffhanger but the next books build off of this one. The series as a whole is great and I highly recommend it. All of the books are narrated by Lisa Beacom who does a great job. I received a copy for my honest review.
