Publisher's Summary

Not every love story begins or ends with the passion of a bodice-ripper. Some develop slowly - an occasional look or a choice word the only spark they ever know. Some endure adversity - lies, infidelity, or opposition creating flames of distrust instead of the warm thaw of a hesitant heart. And some are so unlikely, so unexpected - no one sees the connection coming, not even the lovers themselves.

Mine to Tell is a gentle story of adversity and forgiveness, a tale of mystery you won't forget.

Mine to tell

This was a good story of what one generation considers a hge sin and the next it may not matter so much.I could relate my grandmothers story to the main character.Krystle L Minkoff did an ok job narrating, though I found it a bit dull.I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.

Mystery

I really enjoyed the story of Annabell's great grandmother. Finding out why her family has been shunned for many years and the secrets that were opened was amazing.

The narrator was ok. I did notice at times the sentences all ran together. Also there were times that I didn't know she was speaking of the grandmother's story. Needed to be a little more distinction between the story and the letters.

I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

Perceived Scandal

The first chapter of the “Mine to Tell” immediately captured my attention This book is wonderfully written and narrated. It is the story of Annabelle’s great Grandmother Julianna. Julianna was perceived to have shamed the family and lived in exile in the house her husband built for her next door. Annabelle feels a connection and moves into the boarded up house and digs into her great grandmothers past and learns the real story from clues that were left behind. The story tells of pain, love lost and discovered. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

Mine to Tell

Annabelle Crouse is a young journalist who decides to go home to reopen her great-grandmother's boarded-up house and find out why she was living separately from her husband, stepsons, and son.
Julianne was to live in a separate home from her husband and boys because she left for an unexplained trip for a couple weeks. He bully husband turned an old shed into a house for her, and kept her there as punishment.
Despite her family's disapproval, Annabelle slowly uncovers the story of Julianne through hidden messages in Julianne’s bible, old letters, and other memorabilia.
This was a very clever way to tell 2 different stories. I enjoyed getting to know Julianne through Annabelle’s eyes. The Julianne story was fantastic yet tragic. The Annabelle story wasn’t quite as good, especially the ending. I did enjoy this book very much despite the ending.

Mine to Tell is an appropriate title for this book

This is a love story told over time and only because someone cared enough to want to know the truth. Heartbreaking as this was, I really liked this book. I hurt for the love that had to suffer and the people who could have and should have had their whole wonderful lives together. The story told here was heartbreaking yet beautiful. True love never really dies. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Mine to Tell

Mine to Tell
: Colleen L Donnelly

The first 45 seconds almost caused me to think the author hadn't done her fact checking and put my senses on alert. Once I got past that, the premise of "the fallen great-grandmother," in everyone eyes except for Annabelle. She feels deeply about the great grandmother she never knew. Annabelle is a writer and wants to allow Julienne to tell her story in her own way.

Some of the characters seemed a bit childish in their actions, as opposed to the ages their supposed to be. The story moved slow but the blending of two time periods worked fairly well.

I must have liked it well enough I've listened to it twice already.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Krystle L Minkoff.
