Disappointing

Just my opinion, but it feels like they had enough material for a 30 minute seminar here or a magazine article and decided to stretch it into a book. You have to wait patiently for a long time before the author starts giving ideas about how to actually "hack mind happiness" and then all of their hacking ideas are just concepts that are basic. I didn't learn anything new, or any new spin, or any new way to apply techniques. To be fair, there are some techniques in this book for gaining better control of your own mind. And to be fair, I gave up with two hours to go. So maybe the true innovative techniques were revealed in the end. And maybe this book will help other people. But I have personally gained a lot more from books that get to the heart of the matter more quickly.

Life changing!!!!

This book is incredible! I found this book because of a podcast that I heard where Sean Webb was being interviewed. I’ve been wanting to read a book that would explain how my mind works and I’m so glad I found this. I’m definitely going to read it over and over to make sure I can effectively pass on this knowledge to everyone I know because it’s changed the way I see everything and I feel like I now understand the “why” behind every crazy thing that happens in this world. This book is a must read for all. If you find swearing offensive, just promise me you’ll get through the first few chapters to the mind hacks, so that you can hack your offence and get over it, because it will be well worth it.

Insightful and powerful

I'm not normally much for self help books, but I came across Sean's videos on TikTok and thought I'd give it a try. I'm really glad I did. This book is a fantastic journey into how your mind actually works, and has easy to utilize and effective tips for making your mind function better. It's worth reading - I've already gotten a lot that helps with my PTSD.

I finally understand

I LOVED this book! I just finished and will be listening to it again in addition to getting the next one. The personal stories are wonderful. And understanding myself and others......Wow. I am already happier and looking forward to much more happiness in my life. This book I will enjoy giving as a gift to a few people I already have in mind. Thank you.

A breath of fresh air.

This book is absolutely life changing. Thank you Sean for putting together the manual for Meta Thinking and how we can use it to change our lives. I’ve purchased several copies and hand them out like candy.

A pragmatic approach to understanding how your mind works

Sean Webb has a gift for simplifying the complex workings of the mind. He refers to the scientific literature while providing anecdotal examples for explaining how happiness works. This makes the subject matter accessible to all. I am very impressed! This is a “must listen” for those that are seeking a deeper understanding of the self and enhancing their lives

Author's delivery may not be for everyone BUT....

...The content surely is! I personally enjoyed Mr Webb's irereverence smattered throughout the book, though it could get a little tiresome at times. Overall high quality content, especially from a self publisher.

The mechanics of suffering and happiness

Things are simpler and easy to understand when you learn the mechanics and how things work. That’s what I learned listening to this book. Thank you Sean Webb.

Very lofty, not pragmatic or hands-on

While I appreciate the reading voice, the book itself is very vague and lofty, with nowhere near enough examples and -especially- practical exercises and tips. Maybe there’s a cultural difference, but to me it’s very repetitive and very wordy, but little substance. In other words; very American. Minus for all the horrible dad jokes, terrible “chapter summary” music that deflects from the summary, and sometimes sexist remarks.

Hacking the Mind to its Happiest

Engaging, easy to listen to, very well spoken. Time to practice and put it to action! Are you trying to figure out what's going on upstairs? This book WILL set you on the path to a happier you. I've been on the path of breaking a mould I created during my life, I've slowly been searching and engaging on many directions of why why WHY! Then I found Mind Hacking Happiness This book is a really good pick me up, Sean reads and explains his contexts and examples (of others and his own). Empowering and surprisingly relatable. Now I admit I've made my ego, my shadow self available for hacking, made my younger version of self feel safe to know others have answers I do not. So where I see the book, this Audio book fitting perfectly into your schedule is traffic, late night restlessness, needing to get OUT of your mind ( what better way out than getting deeper into your mind?) and at your own pace. I bindge listened to both Vol 1 and Vol 2. and currently listening to Vol 1 AGAIN. I'm not saying to binge out on the material, definitely take it at your own pace, pause, revisit, ENJOY!
