A telekinetic assassin’s quest to avenge his parents’ murders triggers an all-out war between an eccentric cast of killers, from the New York Times and number one Audible.com best-selling duo Jeremy Robinson and R.C. Bray.

Jonas kills people...with his mind. He reaches out, focuses for a moment, and feels a snap of pain between his eyes. Then his target falls over dead: a hole in the center of their brains. The cause of death is unknown to all aside from Jonas, and his lone companion, Bubbles, a sarcastic AI with aspirations to be more human, or a serial killer. One of the two. Maybe both. Jonas calls his ability...mind bullet.

Sensing Jonas is lonely and depressed, Bubbles arranges for Madee, a Thai delivery woman by day and a thief by night, to enter his life. For a moment there are sparks. But chaos follows as the people Madee last robbed catch up to her. They also happen to be the Shrieking Ninjas. After surviving the assault, Jonas and Madee find themselves on the run with a $10 million hit called on Jonas.

Killers from all over the globe pursue the pair as they run for their lives, headlong into Jonas’ mysterious past, uncovering the surreal origins and extent of his abilities. They discover a dark and twisted history that threatens to unravel his mind and leave him susceptible to control. Working with Bubbles, Madee, and a growing list of new allies, Jonas battles his way through waves of assassins, some with abilities like his, all to protect the world from a recently discovered, untraceable weapon of mass destruction - himself.

Another Home Run

Another amazing story from one of the best duos in audio books today. I never wanted it to end. Like always Jeramy give us great characters you can't help rootting for. I look forward in seeing how this universe unfolds.

this book was a hoot to listen to, start to finish crazy town. this was my favorite read of the year

Another great read

Such a fun amazing book. Filled with fun, action and BUBBLES! Or should I say one great AI character!

Good as Usual

Not phenomenal, but very entertaining and some original twists. Crazy fun stuff :) One odd choice made was to very dramatically announce the names of foes and groups sort of comic book style. This would have worked well if it were for a literally 2-3 second pause between when these are spoken. This is likely an editing oversight but its quite jarring. Further, Bray’s choice to “act” out some of these scenes is very grating as he will mimic chewing or loud goat sounds. If you’re a fan of his you will be familiar with this, but, its really cranked up to like 25 in this reading. Other than that highly recommended :)

Humor

I’ve enjoyed this entire series tremendously, but the his title really revealed Robinsons sense of humor! Also listening to RC bray reading some lighthearted stuff really broadened his repertoire in my opinion. It allowed both narrator and author to shine through as just regular folks getting through the day, doing what they love. The storyline was a tad predicated but as part of the series that it’s in, unless you’re reading it as a stand alone you have to already know that. Still 5 stars.
