Great split from a traders tale

This is a great first book in a new series. I love what Lowell has created with the traders tales and have listened to the whole series multiple times. If you haven’t tried them I definitely recommend them as well as this book. The narrator does a great job with this book. Can’t wait for more!

Emily Woo Zeller is in my top 3 of narrators I love to listen. She makes the stories come alive!

Story was fun to listen to, but wondering about the beginning. Murder? Trouble? The girls have had multiple run ins with the authorities, but it wasn't brought up. In any case, can't wait to continue on to the next book. Hope Me. Zeller is reading those too!

Extremely Well Written!

This was an extremely well written and well narrated storyline of a spaceborne Merchant Marine New Frontiers.

As a guy with 40 Years at Sea I can only imagine that this could be a real future!

Female protagonist and I'm definitely going to get more of the series.

The Best Series in the Solar Clipper Universe

Great series. More action and less of the tedious monotony that plagues the other series.

The universe, worth listening too severel times. Easy lisening with severe easter eggs hiding in plain sight.

Excellent!

Again Mr. Lowell writes a fantazstic book with great plot and strong character development. This story also contains his excellent sense of humor and drama. Emily Woo Zeller does a fantastic work bring the characters to life and filling out who they are and what they are about. I look forward to the time when these two new and interesting people meet up with Ish and Pip and the amazing new stories that can happen. In the meantiime, both of you keep up the good work!

Narrator makes Zoya sound like Dora the Explorer

Good story - very good story, but narrator Emily Woo Zeller is awful. Natalia sounds fine, but Zoya sounds like a six-year-old Dora the Explorer. All that's missing is the monkey. She also is ineffective at voicing a lot of the men. It really detracted from the story.

A great, light space opera

This is a fun read. Nothing too serious, a little bit of mystery, a little bit of intrigue. I quite enjoyed it, and it was fun getting into this “world.”

A delightful return to the Golden Age

This first book in a new series is a delightful return to Nathan Lowell's golden age of the solar clipper. It is from a different perspective, with a new group of compelling characters and a similar feel to the Trader's Tales series.

In addition to being a character driven story, there is a who-dunnit aspect to the plot that continued to entertain beyond the pay-off.

To top all of this off, while Nathan's own narrations are uniquely satisfying, Emily Woo Zeller's narration of this book is outstanding! It is far more satisfying than the narrations of Lowell books performed by Jeffrey Kafer (who I think can be a great narrator for the right story, and while still worth listening to, wasn't a great fit Nathan's books).
