Fascinating!

I much liked hearing of the culture and artifacts of the Middle Kingdom. I can see why many think Egypt's history starts here, and it gives more insight into the people vs mostly pyramid info being representative of the Old Kingdom.

Their idols and things of burial practice may have shrunk in size over time, but they certainly became more widespread and vast as I understand it. I'd like to have hear more info comparing the findings shared here with what's revealed in scripture. The practice of negative confessions brought to mind the sacrifices one would make in the Tabernacle for the possible offenses one may have unknowingly commited.

What brought on the change between Old and Middle Kingdoms from having many buried alongside you to those now being in separate areas?

This was an enjoyable listen.

bridging the beginning n what we usually study

not too bad, but my mind did wander on occasion. I know a lot of it's important, but many times I kept thinking of it as "filler". there was, however, talk of the rise of a middle class..and how things like art and writing were no longer just for the elite

Middle Kingdom of ancient Egypt

This audiobook was a little easier to follow than the old kingdom. Still it was told very well. It seems as though it was the same narrator which I really enjoyed. Would listen to it again. These audiobooks from captivating history do a great job explaining a ton of information. I usually listen to these while I work and it makes the day fly by. Keep making more!

Great short course.

This book was easy to listen too and kept my attention. Keating of the reunification of Egypt in the middle kingdoms was great but I really liked the chapters on life and culture in the Middle Kingdom. It explained that since Egypt was doing so well the people were able to do more with regards to literacy rates, religious and burial customs. Kind of makes me wish grave robbers didn’t loot the old pharaohs burial places so we could learn more.
