Low heat level f/f

Normally love medium to high heat level, but this was a cute f/f age gap romance with rivals pitting for the same tenderoni.

Excellent!

I loved Mergers and Acquisitions. I had already read the book, but the audio is brilliant. Thank You to A. E. Radley for a great ending. No cliff hangers and no loose ends. P. J. Morgan does a fantastic job with the narration.

All business

I liked that you got a behind the scenes look at the business of marketing. Office romance is never easy but oh so rewarding. The narrator did a wonderful job especially with the American accent.

Double the ice queens!

This story was a perfect blend of melting not just one but two ice queens as well as setting up a beautiful age-gap romance. The narration captured the voices wonderfully and as a reader I was quickly sucked into the marketing world and the office politics that exist when two companies bid for the same contract and the young innocent assistant becomes the referee! I highly recommend this story!!

Can we say cat fight??? LOL!!!

A.E. Radley did an incredible job of creating a corporate cat fight novel that is too good to put down. P.J. Morgan did an outstanding job with the narration. This story is so believable that it is almost too true. I appreciated the relationship shifts and dynamics involved. They are not the ones I typically see in a women loving women romance involved novel. Because I am not inclined to put spoilers in...have a listen and see what I mean. I have enjoyed all of her novels thus far yet I would say this is my favorite.

Stuck in the middle

A story about a young woman (Sophie) stuck between two rival Ad agencies and the women at their heads and the feud they have had for years. The agencies are forced to work together and thrust Sophie into the middle of their tumultuous relationship and used as a pawn in both of their vindictive games. It is a mix of Devil Wears Prada, War of the Roses and a romance all in one. It makes for at the very least an interesting listen.

The narration by P.J. Morgan is terrific and I was drawn into the story much more by her performance than if I had read this myself. I thought her American and British accents were great and also her different voices for all of the characters were very well done. Morgan's delivery, pacing, and range were all excellent and I look forward to hearing more work from her.

A fairly enjoyable listen that kind of ends abruptly with excellent narration made for a fun little escape.

Good story, excellent narration!

This book has not one, but TWO ice queens! *bonus points for that!* This is a story about two rival advertising/marketing firms - one in London and one in NYC - who are forced to work together at the London office after a top client demands their collaboration on a pet project. Both firms are owned by tough, brilliant women considered the best in their fields and neither are thrilled about the arrangement. They are also both notoriously brutal on their staff. Enter former marketing intern Sophie, who idolizes her iconic - and much older - London boss Kate Kennedy, and wants to learn everything she can from her. And god, if she isn't beautiful. What happens when Kate's personal assistant ends up in the hospital and Sophie has to take over for him in the midst of this upheaval? Can she survive working for this intimidating, demanding woman? And why is the charismatic rival firm owner Georgina Masters showing such a personal interest in Sophie, going so far as to invite her out after work?
I felt good about this story right from the outset and that's primarily due to terrific narrator PJ Morgan. This is the first book I've listened to of hers and will be looking for more. I thought the woman was a Brit but she's an American - very convincing! The very best narrators make it seem like they're not reading from a book at all, just telling you a story. I have found that to be quite rare and appreciate Morgan's skill. It only took me a few days to listen to the whole book because I was enjoying the story so much and wanted to listen as often as I could. The only downside I found was that the book ended very abruptly and would have benefited from an epilogue, at least, if not another chapter. And so you know up front, although I've only read a few of Radley's books, I am gathering her stories don't usually include love scenes. Not that it's a problem, just something to be aware of. I see her books like Hallmark movies (for those outside the U.S., Hallmark is a television network that airs family friendly romances) but with a lesbian twist. And that's a compliment - they are quite popular here. Tame, yes, but a good, entertaining story. I liked it!

cute double ice queen romance

I found this little book surprisingly addictive, even though it's a familiar trope modelled on the Devil wears Prada. The author brings something fresh to the story, which kept me entertained all the way through.
We have not one, but two ice queen marketing bosses, one American and one British, both looking to steal the same account from under each others' noses, whilst supposedly working as a team.
We also have the adorable nerdy, straight, practically-engaged-to- her-boring-boyfriend, Sophie, who works for one of them, and ends up being a bit of a pawn in their vicious game. Will she end up getting rewarded for her thankless tasks, and who will she eventually end up with?
An amusing and endearing tale, narrated really well. One of the better English accents by an American I have heard on Audible so far.
