"There is a broad way that seems right to man but which leads to death and destruction, so also there is a narrow way that opens up into unbelievable glories. This is the romance of orthodoxy."

In this audiobook, Douglas Wilson combines G. K. Chesterton-like prose with the Apostles' Creed and explains such doctrines as the trinity, creation, fall, salvation, Scripture, and the church with clarity and imagination. Rather than seeing fundamentalist doctrines as a narrow and confining straitjacket, Wilson sees them as the only way for people to find true freedom and joy.

I was moved to tears multiple times in this unfolding of the "once delivered to the saints, faith." Growing up in the church, but converted at 21, I only wish I had read this 10 years ago. Can't wait to reread.

Excellent. A glorious introduction to the faith.

Douglas Wilson has a great ability to say a lot in few words. The words he chooses are clearly constructed to present his ideas in thought provoking ways.

Get this book if you want:
- To build or rebuild the foundations of your faith.
- A book you can listen to again and get new things out of each time.
- New ways to phrase and present arguments for Christianity to your friends/family.

I appreciate the bold, in-your-faceness of Douglass Wilson. When you have the truth, why not act like it? And that's what he does. Give it a read. You might be offended and enlightened.

Bold, clear, refreshing

Great flow and content. Very refreshing to the soul. The narrator’s voice is great too!

One of the best books I’ve ever read
