If you listen to the first and you're here;

If you listened to the first part and you are already this far as to be reading this review, it's worth it. Just get it. The story dives deep! Plus, I don't think a book has made me both blush and crack up this much in a long time!

Definitely worth the listen!

Still enjoying it

Still early in the story so not a ton has happened yet. We still dont know the mystery of why the king did what he did etc. But there's been some scenes of characters getting to know each other to endear them to the audience.

That's actually my main gripe so far, specifically with Aldin, the main love interest. I just dont know what his "deal" is or why he feels he needs to go on this adventure. I think this was an attempt at making him mysterious, but it's not like getting a small piece of the puzzle and wondering how the rest of him together, but rather we get no puzzle and have to wait to see the puzzle appear at all. we know his powers but not him, and this is kinda crippling to the first real scene of spice between him and the main characters.

You get the "deal" of the other characters, which are all interesting and likable enough for this part of the story so its not a massive systemic issue or anything.

lovely tale

writing romance is always a challenge. Often feeling like a dance in a minefield of cliche and lazy writing. However, with this story, I can promise you it is 100% safe. The characters and setting are as unique as they are comfortable. Like adding liquor to your favorite hot chocolate you won't be disappointed in this journey.
Simon continues to impress with his range of voice talents, and makes the shared experience a pleasant one. He drips honey in your ear and you will thank him for it.
The story is entertaining. Showing the complexity and odd simplicity of infatuation in ways few writers effectively capture. I can't recommend this enough to anyone regardless of reading age.

If you are looking for a wonderful read please do yourself a favor and pick this one up.
