Loved this audiobook, such a beautiful listen. Great story, loved the Australian setting, wildlife and narration. Highly recommended!!!

Good balance between characters

Enjoyable story line with a balance between the characters. Well read short story told excellently. Easy to follow.

Cute and Quick Listen

Quick, easy lesson with great voices and an interesting romantic storyline based on an island off the Australian Coast.

Fairly fun

The setting and wildlife touches are good. Our heroine is aggravating in that her anger about someone having a job she chose to leave is scarcely credible. It's one of f those worlds where everyone in a community is apparently invested in other people's relationships ('you're made for each other', etc) and dialogue is not believable. Narration a bit strange in places. it took me a few minutes to work out that our hero is meant to be English..

Bo is annoying

Love Adeline Knight's books, super relaxing. Bo was really really annoying. I really liked how nature information were intertwined within the story.

Loved this novel - its mix of nature, romance, and career challenges

Unique book about Bo, a nature activist with a podcast and a past with regrets and anger. Enjoyed the background of aspects of nature she covers on her podcast and the TV show she returns to. Satisfying romance. Recommended!!

Entertaining if not perfect

I really liked the story and the setting. It had me google the location and I enjoyed learning about the local wildlife. I liked the male narrator and for the most part the female narrator was okay, but her intonation was often off, putting emphasis on the wrong word in a sentence or having too much empty air between words. It was distracting. And she mispronounced a few words incorrectly all together. One of them was bouquet. It’s correctly pronounced “boo-kay”, which she did say once and then she went on to say “Bo-Kay” several times right after. It’s just distracting. Plus normally good audiobook narrators are good at accents, and they’ll lower their voice for the man’s voice and she didn’t do that so some scenes were a little confusing as to who was saying what. But all in all, it was enjoyable with a great setting ( boy, I’d like to visit there one day, it sounds idyllic!), a conservation message and likable characters.

Fun romance with a moral message.

This is the second book I’ve listened to by this author. It’s refreshing to enjoy a romance novel that isn’t full of soft porn. I’m not a prude, but I find the gratuitous graphic and formulaic sex interludes unnecessary, and distracting from the plot of most romance novels … I usually fast forward. I liked the environmental preservation and workplace justice elements that added some tension in the background.

Loved it. Such an easy listen. Great narrations, great story line. Loved the characters as well.

I hate Bo with a passion

That’s it. She was a shitty person, Griffin deserved better. Otherwise, it paints a great picture on an island, that I would have never know existed if not for this book.
