Story
I wrote this mnemonic guide as an audiobook first to help you remember pharmacology drug names and principles quickly. While in the classroom your professors might say memorization doesn't matter, but you can't bring outside material to the board exam, so for this test, you do need to work on memory training. You already know the consequences of failing a class or board exam, so let's make sure that doesn't happen by getting pharmacology organized in your head once and for all.

I've got three five year olds, I don't have time to do the heavy lifting you all do as narrators. Doctors and therapists do not have to depend only on a solitary laboratory findings; instead, they should also think about other medical components. For instance, physicians should know about the time the laboratory sample was drawn, potential medication interactions, or the patient's recent meals. In like manner, it is vital to understand the importance of patterns in the values over time.

Do you ever feel like learning Pharmacology is kinda like learning another language? You're not alone. In fact, I felt the same way in nursing school. Don't get me wrong, I loved Pharm. But, trying to keep thousands of medications, contraindications, and assessment information straight in my mind was, well...impossible. That's when I realized something. I didn't need to know EVERY medication. I needed to focus on the most important ones and really understand them well. So, I developed a list of the most commonly tested and prescribed medications.

Publisher's Summary
This is a Seven-Bundle of Memorizing Pharmacology Questions, Answers, and Rationales with an Additional Final Exam
With triplet eight-year-old daughters, I don't get four-hour study blocks in a quiet corner of the library. I get an hour here or 15 minutes there. This book is for those commuters, busy parents, and working students who need a "fit it in" approach to studying pharmacology. This book has multiple rapid-fire questions, answers, rationales, and mnemonics that you can do alone or with a partner to help you understand pharmacology better and remember the content longer.
These include:
- Multiple choice questions with rationales - I include essential mnemonics and background information
- Prefixes, suffixes, and infixes matching - these are the key to learning many hundreds of drug classifications
- Sorting series section - here you make sense out of drug classes better picturing their relationships
- One-line cases - these cases come in pairs so you can work with a partner
- Short essay prompts - it's nice to know how the professor might answer a question
- A special bonus chapter preview from the book Memorizing Pharmacology Mnemonics
But let's talk about the most pressing issue that keeps you from succeeding: energy.
This book makes it easier and simpler to listen and grasp pharmacology concepts without expending too much of your energy or efforts!

Nursing student Vs Pharmacology
I thought this audio book was very helpful. Pharmacology is a lot of memorizing however I personally retain information better if I learn why something is the way it is and this book does just that. The go over often asked questions, give you the answer to the question and then the rational. Some of these questions are about the onset of the diseased or how the medication helps the disease. I feel these are important facts to know. Part two of the book is called rapid fire. this is where he states a medication, pauses to allow time for you to guess the drug class and then gives the answer. This part is really useful in the car. You can practice memorizing medications anywhere you go. I also really enjoyed the speakers voices. Makes it easy to listen to.

Great Study Tool
This book has been a great study tool that has helped me with many different aspects of pharmacology. The way the book is broken down into different sections with helpful study aids such as questions/answers, rationale and mnemonics has been a huge help to me when I don’t have enough time to just sit down and read a text book. When I am listening along I find myself constantly walking around blurting out answers to the study questions in this audio book. Whether you’re out on a walk, on a long drive, cleaning your house or just looking for a different approach to help you study pharmacology this audio book can be a great resource for you too!

ilovepharmsomuch (A Relaxing Listening)
While sitting on my patio in this beautiful 75 degree afternoon, I enjoyed studying pharmacology while not being cooped up in the house and out in the nice weather. I did listen to a few different chapters. Listening to a lecture sometimes is better for me to grasp a hold of concepts. I really enjoyed listening because I felt like the lectures were broken down into easy ways to comprehend about the drugs. I was scared to take pharmacology because I knew it was going to be tough (although being a medication aide the last four years as helped a bit as well) but if you have the right teacher to do so, and easy ways to learn it that hold your attention it actually makes it easier and more fun to learn!

A simple break down of memorizing pharmacology
Not only did this book help me memorize the drugs and their drug class, it helped me with the pronunciation of each drug since I could hear it out loud. I felt more than prepared for all my exams and I was able to recall and apply this information to my clinical practice. What helped me the most were the questions during the final exam section. Highly recommend this book if you are in any type of health care professional career.

This book had greatly helped me stay sane throughout this class. Before I got a hang of this class I was mostly using the class lectures and reading the book which was not cutting it, but after listening to this audible it has helped me improve so much in pharmacology. I like how it divided the multiple choices questions, matching, mnemonics, and practice questions. I would highly recommend this book.

My commute to work is about a 45-minute drive having the audible recording playing while I go to and from work has really helped me in retaining the information. I have always been an auditory learner so being able to pause it and repeat certain questions has been great. Book 3 review was immensely helpful in learning my respiratory medication and the exam review questions helped put everything together.

Memorizing Made Easy
This audiobook breaks down large concepts into smaller, easier to understand topics. Pharmacology is a hard subject to grasp but when you break it down, it really applies to everyday life, and that's exactly what the audiobook shows. Many people are on the go these days and having a study technique that fits their busy lifestyle is perfect. What helped me the most was book 4 part 2 of the immune chapters, they discussed the generic and brand names along with the suffixes and what they represent.
