Reseñas de la Crítica

Praise for Robert Greene

“Compelling.”—Forbes

“Greene’s specialty is analyzing the lives and philosophies of historical figures like Sun Tzu and Napoleon, and extracting from them tips on how to manipulate people and situations—a cutthroat worldview that has earned him a devoted following among a like-minded readership of rappers, drug dealers and corporate executives.”—The New York Times

"Illuminating.”—The Guardian

“Machiavelli has a new rival. And Sun Tzu had better watch his back. Greene . . . has put together a checklist of ambitious behavior. Just reading the table of contents is enough to stir a little corner-office lust.”New York magazine

“Beguiling . . . literate . . . fascinating. A wry primer for people who desperately want to be on top.”—People magazine

“An heir to Machiavelli’s Prince . . . gentler souls will find this book frightening, those whose moral compass is oriented solely to power will have a perfect vade mecum.”Publishers Weekly

Loved it. I have a slight understanding of the effort the people mention in this book have put into their passions, but I know if I apply what is described in this book I can achieve great things and feel I lived a full life.

I'm on my second listen. I have read many of Robert Greene's books but by far this is his best. It pushes you to work on yourself and gives you practical advice and tips. Most of his other books are more manipulative in nature and do include useful information, however they are a bit dark. This work however, is not only useful but it does not go against my personal code of ethics. I find all of Greene's work to always be fascinating, however, this time I could truly say he is providing me with tools to becoming a better and more successful human being without having to sacrifice ethics.

Amazing insights! Don't just read it, study it.

Amazing content. Excellent narration even at 1.2x! Very relatable to real life challenges and experiences. Would have loved if author used more masters biographies to emphasize different principles rather than repeat the same ones. But Mr Greene has outdone himself again after the 48 laws of power!

This is a fantastic book, well written and well researched. The concepts are profound and if applied can truly transform a person. However, the author’s clear dislike for Christianity detracts from his message. He makes statements about unproven scientific theories as though they are fact deterring from his credibility and objectivity. I am a Christian and I find it both ironic and disappointing. Since there are two commonly accepted theories on how life on earth came to be, apart from the Christian perspective of creation, it takes a degree of faith to take a bold stand on either theory. As a Christian I’m at least willing to admit the element of faith it takes to believe in creationism. It’s also amusing that so many of the principles in this book are in fact Christian: people are unique and special, each person brings a unique element to the planet and has a unique purpose, etc. I see this as an act of God’s creation making man in His image, rather than random chance. Nonetheless, it’s a great book and I highly recommend it with the caveat that not all of the “scientific” statements in this book are proven theories and are in fact opinions.

Great book but...
