Annev has avoided one fate. But a darker path may still claim him....

After surviving the destruction of Chaenbalu, new mysteries and greater threats await Annev and his friends in the capital city of Luqura. As they navigate the city’s perilous streets, Annev searches for a way to control his nascent magic and remove the cursed artifact now fused to his body.

But what might removing it cost him?

As Annev grapples with his magic, Fyn joins forces with old enemies and new allies, waging a secret war against Luqura’s corrupt guilds in the hopes of forging his own criminal empire. Deep in the Brakewood, Myjun is learning new skills of her own as apprentice to Oyru, the shadow assassin who attacked the village of Chaenbalu - but the power of revenge comes at a daunting price. And back in Chaenbalu itself, left for dead in the Academy’s ruins, Kenton seeks salvation in the only place he can: the power hoarded in the Vault of Damnation....

Imagination Gone Wild

The build up of the existing characters and the creation of new ones was fantastic. My imagination went wild as I listened to every detail. You can tell there is so much to this world than we even see in the books. There could be so many tangents but it was kept moving forward and coming together. Absolute must read!

Like Book 1 but with more worldbuilding

What doesn’t makes sense is fleshed out here, validating my reader thoughts about the setting.
Does the same as before, starting slow to pull you in and then finishing strong.

I guess my main issue with the series is viewing it as plot driven when it’s really character driven and how he chooses to follow his fate

Gripping story and lore

Fantastic, I find myself mindlessly doing tasks as a easily visualize what’s happening. The ancients history and telling of regalious only adds to my want for further detail of the world.

Interesting

I thought this was a good story I’m actually going to try to find to see if there is a book 3 gotten bit I’m actually impressed with that deafness of the story the art of death and time the story with all the different types of magic it’s like how did he keep all of that together? It was good I thought it was good.

Oh my W°W!!

What an unexpected joy!! A complex hero/villain MC, tons of intrigue, traps, and skullduggery. Easily the best new series I’ve found since Stormlight, Cradle, or Beginning After the End. I read a ton of Fantasy/gameLit/Space Opera to the tune of around 3-5 books a week and this series slaps! Get it and you’re welcome! :)

A Long One That's Well Worth It

Oh my gosh this book. There is *so much* that happened in this book that I’ve been having trouble getting my thoughts together 😅 This book is THICK but so so good. It is jam packed with incredible world building and fantastic character development. Compared to the first book in the series, Master Artificer takes (quite a few) much darker turns, and we get POV chapters from a handful of the side characters from book one. If you’re a fan of morally grey characters, this series is jam packed with them - no one is completely good, but no one is completely evil either.

I have a lot more feelings, but don’t think I can talk about them too much without giving spoilers, but please read this book if you like epic fantasy with a lot of in depth world building so I can talk to someone about it 😂 Also I need the third and fourth book ASAP, k thx 😁

The audiobook is a long one but oh so worth it.

There is no better series,

Master Artificer, Book 2 of Justin Travis Call's Silent God Series is one of the best-written fantasy epics, and Peter Kenny's narration is masterful. The plot is tight, and the wordsmithing is uniquely diverse. I just loved listening (for almost 30 hrs) to the extensive vocabulary, unique descriptions, magic, and various characters.

I am looking forward to the next installment.

It Was a Good Listening Experience

I enjoyed listening to this book. It was entertaining and held my interest. There were some surprising twists and intrigues that were easily discerned and others that I did not see coming

Really great story

Love the setting and lore created for this world, the characters feel real and grow throughout the series. Annev is a complicated protagonist who I've come to really like... except the torture scene, that was really hard to listen to. Finn has the greatest character growth and quickly became my favorite character in this series during book 2.

Excited for book 3!
