Masquerade is a supernatural thriller told from the perspective of a spiritual medium and astral traveler. Following a whirlwind relocation for a live-in job at the local inn, Beth quickly realizes the whole village is thoroughly haunted, the people here fearful and cowed. As a spiritual medium, her attention is drawn to Scarsdale Hall nearby, the enormous stately home dominating what is undoubtedly a wild and beautiful landscape. The narrator sounds like a second grade teacher, reading, Twas the Night before Christmas. There is zero chance of her making this story remotely eerie. Virtual voice MIGHT almostvhave been a better choice and VV is god awful. I can't even tell you what this story is about.
