Publisher's summary

A human in transit and my heart in jeopardy.

Jax: I am the Ambassador to the Agnorrian Empire and bearer of the goddess of home’s eye. I am one of the most important men in the Alliance Empire. However, I’ve had to leave my diplomatic vessel on Earth’s moon for repairs and return to the Empire on a cargo ship. This is unfortunate, but that's not what’s troubling me.

The real issue is the young human woman traveling with us. I thought I would never give my heart to another woman after my first wife died, and certainly not to a human, but the goddesses, it seems, have other plans for me.

Is it my destiny to take a human wife?

The Alliance Holiday Series is set in the present day on Earth. However, aliens, especially the Alliance Military, still play a large part in humanity’s interactions with the galaxy, even if most humans do not know this.

In this series, there are few heroes or women being rescued. Instead, listeners are led through a maze of alien courting customs, strict religious codes, and often uncomfortable compromises between aliens and humans while chasing romance and marriage. Every door is open in the Holiday Alliance Series. Each novella is standalone, but can be traced back to something the human women discovered about the Alliance 600 years later in the Renascence Alliance Series.

Romance and courting 🎶🎶🙄

I really like about the stuff is there any and of course I had it erotic moments, but in the end they kind of stuck to the old fashion, courtship rituals I didn't wanna straight out just go right into the sexy store but it was still really really good to listen to

Squee, great read ❤️

Yay! Another glorious book in the Alliance series. I have read every book and have preordered the ones that are ready. I got lucky the day I won the first book in a good reads giveaway. I found a great new author, with a fresh voice and a wonderful world. Highly recommended to SFR lovers, enjoy!

Interesting story

Wild tale about alien abduction and romance
… interesting take on female led culture but still shows how some females won’t help others

pretty good but could be better

the intimate scenes were described very clinicly I found that humorous, and it took away from the book.

Loved It

When the MFC character searches for her missing friend she is given contact information that changes her life. It seems her friend has met and fallen in love with an alien and is only missing because she is living with her mate on another planet! What in the world? She refuses to believe her friend is happy and wants to see for herself. She agrees to have her memory erased after visiting this alien planet to check on her friend. On the spaceship traveling to this far-off planet, she runs into the MMC and it changes her life in so many ways. It was romantic, somewhat of a slow burn, and full of action and confusion on both of their parts. I loved the world-building, the characters, and of course, the narration. Overall it was an excellent listen and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

"I most definitely think my best friend has..."

"I most definitely think my best friend has been kidnapped. Again."

Lotta can't help but worry when her friend Give goes missing, for a second time... and this time she'll stop at nothing to find out what happened.

Jax is an Ambassador who, on the surface, lives the perfect Alliance life, but as Lotta gets to know him she discovers his thoughts just might paint outside the lines from time to time.

This done in one kindle unlimited book captures the cultural miscommunications that can happen all too easily, whether it is customs being misunderstood, different ways of expressing things, or different attitudes about how certain things should be discussed or handled.

As an added bonus this story has a lot of fun supporting characters.

I enjoyed the performance of this audiobook, and liked having different narrators for the chapters from Lotta's perspective vs. those from Jax's, for me that helps keep track of it as the story is unfolding, without my having to think, and makes it easier to get lost in the plot as it unfolds.
