Publisher's summary

My mate rejected me, leaving me broken. I refuse to let that happen again—even if Steele is the one for me.

I hold the power of flame and future in my hands, but I know the world is watching. Waiting for us to fall.

The truth and lies that bind the Aspen Pack together are crumbling and I am to bear witness to its fate.

I know the Enforcer of the Aspens is my mate.

Yet neither of us want what fate decrees.

So, we’ll fight side by side and ignore the burning attraction between us.

Only when a traitor rocks the foundation of all we know, we might not have a choice to who we cling to in despair.

The vampires were only the pawns in this war.

The demons are on their way.

And if we’re not careful, the Aspen Pack could lose someone that breaks them.

And I could lose my mate.

Again.

Steele and Jade..Wow

This is book five of the Aspen pack and we’ve seen how much this pack has to have endured throughout the years. Steele is the enforcer of the pack meaning he has to keep everyone safe also meaning no time or want for a mate. Jade is a fire witch and is trying to find out who the traitor is among the Aspens and no desire for complications and that’s exactly what Steele is to her.

Overall, this was an amazing finale to the series every couple has overcome obstacles and Steele and Jade were wonderful. Loved everything about this series.

Good addition to this series

This is the final book of this series and I was a little sad to see the end. So where it can be read as a standalone book it is best if you read to rest of the books of this series in order so that one does not get lost with the relationships amongst the supporting characters as well as events that took place in previous books of the series that play an interictal part of this story.

So this is Stone and Jade's story. Two characters wrapped up in their own issues - abandonment/rejection issues for Jade and a strong sense of responsibility to the pack for Stone their chemistry that they have been fighting for a while is off the charts. Both characters were well written and strong with the events that take place around them.

The narrators Aiden Snow and Kit Swann did a great job bringing tis story to life. Both narrators made this an entertaining book to listen to.

Overall. this action packed read was a good final addition to this series that I would recommend to others.

If it is the end of the era it goes out strong

I have loved all of the books in the Aspen pack series and the series that came before that built up the world to become this. If this is the end of the era for the Aspens, Redwoods and Talons I feel like this was a strong and beautiful way to send them on. The 'don't want to love you' trope in this book was well placed. Jade has a past that she is not yet ready to share and knows that if she opens herself to Steele more will need to be reveled than she is ready for. What I really love about this book is how strong Jade is and how she steps up to protect and be there for Steele and the other Aspens. Steele is a force of his own and the balance he brings with Jade is beautiful.

Jade and Steele

I hate to think that with this book we have reached the end of an era, I have so loved getting to know all the members of the Aspen pack. This book is primarily Steele's story but it does bring us up to date with all the other members of the pack too. You cannot enjoy this book if you have not listened to or read the four earlier books in the series.

As the final book in the Aspen Pack series, we finally get Steele and Jade's story, she's a fire witch with a secret whilst Steele is the enforcer of the Aspen Pack. These two acknowledge that they are mates but both reject the idea of completing a mating bond. Each has their own reasons for this but destiny and fate make it impossible for them to continue denying their attraction or the necessity to bond.

When Steele's life is on the line and the only way to save him is to complete their bond everything changes and each finds they can make a future together. But first, they have to ensure the pack's survival and to do this they will have to identify the traitor in their pack who has been aiding the demon. During the final battle, the traitor is revealed, it was someone no one would ever have suspected. The battle is one when all the packs come together to defeat the Demon and the vampires he controls.

All the loose ends are tied up, all their enemies both old and new are dealt with and with the final epic battle, the future of the pack is assured but they will have paid a heavy price by then.

The narration of this book/series by Kit Swann and Aiden Snow has been excellent and has lifted an already wonderful story to an even higher level.

Steele and Jade

"𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩?"
"𝙄𝙛 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚."

MARKED IN FLAMES by Carrie Ann Ryan, book five in the Aspen Pack series, is Steele and Jade's story.

Steele and Jade have always sworn off mating with each other due to their past demons. When the present demons threaten everything they hold dear to their hearts, they may not have a choice but to give into the mating bond.

Steele and Jade's story is one filled with banter, twists and turns, surprises and even some sadness. I am sad to see this series come to an end but I am sure we will get some cameos in the future.

Audio... Another great job was done by Aiden Snow and Kit Swann. These two complement each other well while bringing the characters and the story to life.

Get ready for... paranormal, mf, shifter (wolf), supernatural (witch), and dual first-person point of view.

Warnings... violence, death (family member, pack member)

💜🩷What a way to end a series 💜🩷

What a way to end this series. Aiden Snow and Kit Swann’s performance was top notch. Steele and Jade were so much fun to read. They was a point where I got teary eyed as with any of Carrie Ann Ryan’s stories. The past they both overcame and the bond which drew them closer. This was a page turner. I needed to know how Malphas and Lily were going to pay for what they were doing. It was glorious. I love the enemies to lovers trope. The push and pull draws you in where you’re hoping they just open their eyes. Everyone was here in the story so you do get to see where they are in life. Love this story.

Supernatural Galore!

The Aspen Pack series never fails to keep things interesting. With a unique blend of paranormal characters, Carrie Ann Ryan switches things up from the normal supernatural books. Finally, FINALLY, we get to see Jade and Steele come together - even if they don’t want to. It’s essential for the survival of their pack. You are not going to expect who they figure out is the traitor!! Read this fifth installment for quite a few surprises!

Marked In Falmes

I love Steele and Jade but I am sad to say goodbye to the packs. I was late to the game with Carrie Ann Ryan’s paranormal books, but I flew through the Aspen pack books. Jade is a witch that doesn’t want pack bonds and Steele is the Enforcer of the Aspen pack. Neither of them wants a mate, but for different reasons. This was a great way to end the series even if I still would like more books lol.
