Lake has done it again. great story and narration. the characters are interesting and well written. highly recommend

I loved every part of this book. If you like this genre, I highly recommend this book.

I loved the story and narration was amazing. It is a new type of fantasy!

I fell a little in love with most of the main characters.

I love stories that I don't want to end. This was one of them although the author wrote an excellent ending; an ending that doesn't feel like I have to read all 6 of the seqels to get all the story. Don't get me wrong, I like a good series like those written by Laurell K. Hamilton or Anne McCaffrey. I just don't really enjoy those stories that end in a cliffhanger or three. I like it when books can stand on their own while still being a story that continues on through the lives of several characters as well as where the books in the series are each a bit unique and do not have a sameness because the author believes they have found the recipe for success thereby writing by rote so that each book is essentially the same.

A perfect combination

I absolutely love Laken’s stories. And this book, especially, gave a wonderful balance of action with full momentum, personal relationships as mom, friends, enemies and lastly, the romance based on love and care. Just wish that the last book will be made in audiobook version.
As a matter of fact, Laken, please make all your books into audiobooks, I have read them several times and have listened all that was recorded some more times.
