I enjoyed the characters and the narrator! Seems there’s always more than meets the eye and once you throw in a persistent demon, all bets are off!

i really enjoyed the energy of the story. Kate feels like a cross of two of my favorite heroines, Anita Blake and Mercy Thompson! excited for the next book!

Great Surprise

This has been a very nice surprise. This author is new to me, and I only tried this book because it's in the Plus catalog. I am glad I dd. The characters and storyline are really interesting and exciting.

the narrator is amazing! she gives so much emotion to the main character and I almost cried during parts of it from how much she made me love them. The story is great with excellent flow. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys supernatural themes.

Totally satisfied!

I am always looking for new paranormal fantasy series with female leads, and this one sounded like it fit the bill. I was totally happy with book one! I just purchased book two, and I have a feeling I’ll be listening to the whole series! If you’re a fan of all the urban fantasy shifter series with female leads, this one is a solid one. It’s nothing earth-shattering, but it’s a completely enjoyable listen in the exact genre and style that I love.

I rarely give a book 1 in a series a 5-star, but this book just drew me right in. I will start with the narration because it was perfect for this story for Kait. Sierra Kline just has the right tone. I loved it.

Kait has been living with such horrific pain for so long that it's almost part of her now. She is a wolf shifter who can't shift. She was hobbled by her alpha, and then her mother and herself were cast out.

She has become pretty dang resourceful. So when the alpha of the pack she kind of shadows comes to her for help and then says he can free her wolf, she will do just about anything to make it happen.

I am not a magic kind of girl, and I was afraid this book would have it, but nope, if anything, it's very little. But what does have is a solid main character who has a purpose and finds friends along the way to help and who help her, and she helps them.

Oh, that ending! I am jumping into book 2!
