Good

I liked this super short story from Gabbi Grey but I did feel it wasn't developed enough. Michael Dean was lovely as always.

Quickie

I listened to this story a couple of times, trying to determine if I missed something as Marcus and Cadence talk about people, and I have no idea who they are or what happened. However, there is no indication that I need to listen to anything before diving into this short story.

Old sparks reignite as Marcus and Cadence see each other for the first time. It's insta-love, and they begin planning a future together. I would have liked more background. With no context for who they were talking about, I felt lost.

Micheal Dean did a great job with the narration.

Short and sweet but oh so spicy!

I love all the books in this series and all the fun characters wondering around Merritt looking for love! This was a super short listen but so worth it! This story is full of heat and heart, with interesting and real characters just looking for a connection. I loved that there was a past connection between these two and they were finding their way back to each other after a hard couple of years for both of them! Can't wait to listen to Gabbi Grey's next book set in Merritt!

Micheal Dean did an excellent job narrating this short story. I was hoping it could be a little bit longer.

Not quite sure?

The story was cute for what it was but there so much missing—was so lost in the beginning and definitely didn’t like how it ended but seems to be the “preview” of a good full-length story!

Their passionate reunion feels like coming home...

When you come face to face with your childhood friend’s older brother, whom you’ve had a crush on since ALWAYS, and find out it might not have been one-sided…. Wait! What? Cadence, a real estate agent (and Mission City side character from Stanley’s Christmas Redemption), is selling the home he grew up in, and themes of home and found family are beautifully interwoven in this vignette in which Cadence and Marcus reunite after several years. This passionate story is exquisite in its brevity, with nuanced narration from Michael Dean.

Reconnecting with one's crush

A short, sweet inst-love story.
Cadence meets up with his his teenage crush, Marcus while showing the house he grew up in. Turns out Marcus never forgot Cadence. Their reconnection rekindles the attraction on both sides and they really 'reconnect'!
Michael Dean definitely turns up the sultry connection between both men. Easy listen!

Sweet steamy listen

This is a first listen of mine from Gabbi Grey. It’s quick and steamy. I loved Michael Dean being the one to bring it to life. I adore second chance romances, especially childhood crushes coming together. This is a great listen, however sooo short. Im so going to find more reads and listens of Gabbi Grey. It was the perfect intro into their writing universe! Recommend.

Delicious treat!

Michael Dean does an amazing job with bringing this delightful short story to life.
This is a really short story that has Marcus and Cadence reconnecting, having known each other as kids.
This time around sparks fly and the chemistry and connection is felt right off the bat.
This was such a sweet and steamy second chance romance story that I really enjoyed listening to.

Left wanting

I knew going in that there wasn’t going to be much to this story, but even so there just wasn’t enough to their encounter. Even taking their background into consideration, too much doesn’t make sense about how things progressed between Cadence and Marcus. Also, there were just too many things left unresolved to have a satisfying ending. I wish the author had gone back, expanding and polishing the story. Still, Michael Dean did a good job narrating with what he had to work with here.

Short story with a great narration

This is a sweet short story about Cadence and Marcus who meet again after many years. In the process, they discover that they had something in common in the past.
Michael Dean was brilliant. He portrayed the characters very well, so the short story was over way too quickly.

Love for Cadence!

A very short romance about a teenage crush that becomes real as an adult. It’s totally instalove. Cadence and Marcus have a very special moment before coming out as a couple. Sweet and sexy.

A real home

I love that these two meet again and recognize their feelings for each other over a house that has always been home for Cadence and that Marcus has always dreamed of owning. They form a beautiful, loving family and Michael Dean's performance captures all the feels. Would love to return to these characters in a full length novel/audiobook.

Sweet, kismet but I want more!

I loved sweet Cadence from Stanley's Christmas Redemption and knew he had a love he was longing for so I wasn't too lost for this one but OMG I want the rest of their story!! What was the accident, what happened to the sisters, will Marcus be able to come out, will they live happily ever after! This is a great sweet and sexy teaser for a long time coming couple!

Marcus’ Cadence

This is a good, super quick listen. It’s lots of steam with a story too. It’s tough to get enough development in such a short story. There was enough to make me want more, but leave me okay if it’s the end of the line. MD did a great job with the narration.

a wonderful little short story, lacking a back story would be great to be made into a full length book with a back story and more conversations.

A Sweet Short Romance

Gabbi Grey's Marcus's Cadence lays the groundwork for a really nice full length romance novel.

I love the premise of characters meeting years later and exploring their mutual attraction. Plus Marcus and Cadence are both interesting guys, with creative backstories, and they have terrific chemistry. Gabbi Grey always writes a hot physical romance scene, and this one has a doozie.

Michael Dean turns in his consistently excellent performance in the audio version.

This was such a sweet listen, considering how short this is it was an amazing feat to have so much depth and to show so much sweetness. I just loved this book so much.
