Sexy Little Backstory!

I was so happy that Gabbi wrote this prequel of sorts. We get that extra little bit of feels for Archer and why he is who he is today. Michael Dean narrating brought out this hot little, short that leaves you wanting more with Archer and of course Gideon! Archer needs a real man next time!

Archer's beginning

If you are a fan of the Mission City stories, this is a perfect insight into Archer. Interestingly, he sees himself as 'needing to do better' with his life. His inner snark is at full volume and giving him a hard time. Dealing with Chevy revealed his moral fiber, and I was impressed.
Highly recommended author and series

Audiobook: Great narrator

Poor Archer

Archer oh Archer....

Archer has put his job in front of everything, While he was helping one of his clients escape her home while her husband was out of town his own wife was leaving him. Did he care no not really. Instead he tries to set up a meet up with a man he has been chatting with online. However seems thing off between the two and when the man lets something slip he kicks him out.

Archer then receives a call from the person building his new home out in Mission City. It appears there is an issue with the new neighbor when the builders may have broken a few rules on sounds.

Will Archer have to go apologize to the neighbor? Will he start to rethink everything? Will he just try to date again after this night falls through?

This is a very short tease to book 5 in the series. I am off to read that one but i love the chance of getting a little backstory on Archer and his issues.

Good start

Even though this could have been a good prologue for the main book, it is a solid and intriguing start. It’s a good preamble to knowing who Archer is and how everything sort of began.

Would I made a whole audiobook/book for it? No, but if it works for the author, I ain’t knocking it. In what matters (the writing, the performance, the attention) it was very good and def would recommend before hopping into the main book.

Meet Archer.

This short story introduces us to Archer, the recently divorced, closeted bisexual, divorce attorney.
After the divorce from his wife, Archer wants to explore his bisexuality again, after his college experience. The first attempt on an app does not go so well, but Archer is willing be patient and try again. I am looking forward to reading more about him in the next book.

The perfect way to understand the characters.

This was a quick lesson and I really enjoyed that we get a preview to who archer is and what causes all his decisions to be a better person and look for his own happiness. I love listening to Michael Dean. I think he did a wonderful job of voicing archer definitely a most listen audiobook.

Introspective short

This is such an introspective short listen. I believe the set up for the next book is strong! To hazard a guess, I believe it will be grumpy enemies to lovers, at least that is my opinion!

Prequel Perfection

Quick and easy listen that gives you the full backstory leading up to Gideon’s Gratitude.

You don’t have to listen to this one first, but it definitely adds extra depth and insight when it’s referenced in the main book.

It was a fast, fun listen overall. Michael Dean did a great job with the narration, though I will say—with the inner monologs that happen throughout the book you need to really pay attention to be able to tell what hes thinking vs what is actually being said alpid.

Still, a solid listen and a nice setup for what’s to come!

I've read this before and, of course, loved it, as I do most of Gabbi's Mission City series. It was so much better with this narrator. He's on my list of Must Listen To. So good

Loved this

I’ve never read any books by Gabbi Grey and this was such a nice and short read. It gives us a glimpse of the MC in Archer’s book who he is going to be with and I can’t wait to read that one.

I loved how it starts off. First off, he’s a divorce lawyer and he’s going through his own divorce due to the fact that his wife cheated on him. I loved how he tried to do a one night stand hit the guy he’s been talking to isn’t who he thought and he sent the guy on his way when he found out he had kids and a wife. I hope he does go and give the wife a call like his inner thoughts were going.

I loved the scene with his toy because heck, the guy was truly worked up. That scene was perfection for Archer. I loved every detail in that scene.

Then he gets a call from his architect about the house he is working on and gets a complaint from a neighbor named Gideon… man, I cannot wait.

Michael Dean did an amazing job narrating every part but it was perfection at how the thoughts in his head was rationalized. Loved every single part of this audiobook.
