Publisher's Summary

This program is read by Thor Willink and the author, with Rana Willink and Zisa Willink.

New York Times best-selling author Jocko Willink delivers a second powerful and empowering Way of the Warrior Kid audiobook about finding your inner strength and being the best you can be, even in the face of adversity in Marc's Mission

In Way of the Warrior Kid, Marc went from wimp to warrior in one summer. He learned to be strong inside and out, mastered his multiplication tables, conquered his fear of swimming, and even made nice with the meanest kid on the playground (who turned out to be not so mean after all). Now, in this second audiobook in the middle grade Warrior Kid series, Marc uses what he learned last summer to help another kid who needs a boost. Can he take the skills he learned from his Navy SEAL uncle Jake to instill the warrior spirit in someone who needs his help?

Listen to them both!

This book transformed my 6/8 yr old daughters life

Jocko when is the 3rd book coming? You got a lot of warrior kids fired up to grow with your words of wisdom. In the mean time we’ll keep replaying the first 2. Get the first book and this one and listen to this in the car with your kid. It will transform the way you “transport your kid.” It allowed a great basis for discussion and even more important, action...

Exceptional

My 6 and 8 year old boys and I finished this book in about 3 days. We all loved it and were challenged. The boys want to be warriors, and I took away many great parenting tips. Highly recommend to anyone with kids.

Not Just for Kids

Excellent even from an adult perspective. The values and ethics so clearly set forth in the book counter the celebrity and consumer culture that's grown out of hand.

Just excellent

I'm 32 and I'm learning a lot by listening to this story. Jocko to me is like Uncle Jake to Mark from the book. Jocko is like the father I almost never had. I'm so much thankful for Jocko writing these books. Simply amazing. I'm listening to this story while running 10 km.

Personal Development for kids

This book was sooooo great for supporting the lessons in character and discipline we try to teach our kids. Would be great for teachers to play in classrooms, in my opinion. I enjoyed this book as much as my 6yo daughter and 9yo son did. They looked for to listening to it on the way to and from school and extracurriculars. (My 9yo is actually a very reluctant reader with a short attention span and this kept his attention for the duration of it's playing.) It's packed full of so many teachable lessons on character and emotional intelligence. it's written from the perspective of a young boy who is inspired all summerlong by his visiting uncle, a Navy Seal/college student. Lots of back-and-forth conversational dialogue. The boy learns to control his emotional reactions and to lead others down the path of The Warrior Kid. The third book of the series is not on Audible so we picked it up from our library in hardback. My son immediately opened it and began reading it on the way home. (Huge win!) I hope Jocko Willink writes more in this series. In the meantime, we enjoy is Podcast, "The Way of the Warrior Kid" featuring "Ask Uncle Jake" where children from all ages from all over the world ask "Uncle Jake" (Jocko Willink) questions and his answers to them are based on the Warrior Kid Code, described in these books.

Can't get enough

I find myself loving the story of Marc and Uncle Jake more and more, I was excited for this second chapter of their life and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Jocko continues to amaze me. Very talented guy!! I love the way this was written, just like a conversation with snip bits of inner monologue, I tend to have a clear image in my head of the situation while listening and am stocked Jocko is the Uncle Jake voice. Stand up and take a bow Jocko, you deserve it.
