There were extreme losses of life and property in the concentrated battle theater of the middle east.

This style of story telling isn’t for me
This one is difficult to follow along. I really made no connection to Amy so I didn’t care about her ramblings. I will say She does has a lot of paranoia. I marked this as a DNF because I couldn’t sit through more hours of her rambling with no basic story. I need to have a character’s story so I can make a connection to her and care about what, why and how she is doing. Sorry I really wanted to like this but it’s a no go for me.
I did listen to this on audio. The narrator was good at times and other she seemed in a tunnel or choppy.

Honestly, I was shocked!
I'm bipolar and when I was listening to this story, I almost felt like I was living it. It also gave me a look into what others see when I'm manic. It was a so vivid that I thought it was happening to me.

Good Overall Story
Overall this is a good and interesting storyline. It's very hard to follow because the story is all over the place but I think that's the point, to show how a manic mind is all over the place. The narrator does a great job bringing the story to life. I would consider more by this author.

Great story!
I was given a copy of the audio version of this book in return for an honest review and here it is! I really enjoyed listening to this book. The story was well developed and the characters were believable. I like the way the narrator paused in between chapters as it helped to build suspense. The whole story was interesting and gave a good insight into someone with bi-polar condition. I would recommend this story. 😊

Looking through the eyes of mania
WOW!! This book was like a real account of someone living with a manic breakdown. Amy has severe post partum depression that led to numerous breakdowns. Each one included paranoias, delusions and hallucinations, but at the end, there was always her grounding point; her son. I felt as if I was living through each breakdown with her. This is a great story for anyone who has a family member with Bipolar, manic depression or even delusions to read. It really helps you to walk in the person shoes and see what they are seeing and feeling.
This is my first listen for Katrina Medina. I really enjoyed her narration and look forward to hearing more from her. She has an easy to listen to voice. She connected with her character and brought her to life. Katrina really brought out all the emotions and feelings through her narration.

Takes some getting into
It took a while to get used to the jumpy, literally manic story, and the dialogue and thoughts of the main character. But once you get past that, it's really very good and quite a thriller in places. Also very thought provoking and creates quite a lot of tension
