Publisher's summary

Duplicity is Mike’s first nature. If you want to know what he’s doing with his life, just ask, but don’t expect the truth. You may not even be getting his real name.

Such duplicity is the reason a so-called "acting job" at a suspiciously sparse agency LLJF becomes the perfect solution to Mike’s college drop-out blues. During a time when he is just finding out who he really is, Mike adopts the new identity of "Malachi", and it fits like a glove.

A broken nose, a lost tooth, stealing scientific secrets, and a run through the alleys of DC are all in a day’s work. Malachi is the best at uncovering the truths that others want to hide, and the taste of succeeding at what you are best at is intoxicating.

Malachi is willing to do anything to get his paycheck - until he must decide if the thrill of deception is worth the price he must pay.

Malachi, Ruse Master is a Detours in Time series character spin-off and intersects with events from Undercurrents in Time.

A great weekend audiobook.

Malachi Ruse Master is the third book that I have read from author Pamela Schloesser-Canepa.

Malachi is quick and well-paced romp into the life of Malachi who tries his damnest to be good, but it just never works out.

I recommend this book for anyone looking for a fun and well-written audiobook they can listen to over a weekend.

Great audiobook! Action, emotion and suspense

The novel ‘Malachi, Ruse Master’ is an exciting and very magnetic story about a young man, Malachi, who decides to work for a private eye believing it will help him pursue his true career dream. The catch is what these jobs actually are, and the things he must do and say to accomplish them. Needing the money and being in no position to nitpick, Malachi ends up doing a lot of things that make him question himself as a person. One assignment in particular brings him, and the reader, to reflect on emotional issues. Through the events that follows, we are led to feel compassion and love for the main character. The book is a smooth read, I thoroughly enjoyed its pace. Overall, it’s a wonderful option to give yourself a good thrill and led me towards more of Pamela Canepa’s books.
