This book is an erotic gay romance. It contains explicit language and lots of steamy sex between two hot guys. For listeners 18+ only.

Blake Davis is in the closet. And he's going to stay that way. Because if his father finds out he's gay, Blake could lose everything he's worked so hard to achieve during the last six years as CEO of Trinity Publishing, the fastest rising star in the publishing firmament. Not that coming out wouldn't solve a couple of problems. Maybe then his father would stop trying to set him up with yet another empty-headed, social-climbing girlfriend. And better still, Blake could stop using that escort agency when he wants a night of hot sex with a cute guy.

Will Parkinson has had a tough life so far, but he's back on his feet. Okay, so he's working as an escort - with benefits - to pay off his student loans, but that does have its advantages, such as the really hot guy who hired him. Yeah, Blake rocked his world last night - several times. So imagine how Will feels when he arrives to be interviewed for his dream job as PA in a publishing company, and the guy who's hiring is...Blake.

And then things get really complicated.

This was a sweet love story about finding love and living your truth. The characters were likeable and the plot, although a little cliched, was enjoyable. The sex scenes were hot with some delightful kink. K.C. Wells is a wonderful author and her writing style was smooth and easy to read. The narration was well done and delightful.

I chose this audible because it was narrated by my favorite narrator. There are other narrators that I enjoy but Cornell Collins is my absolute favorite. This story was so very Good. It was romantic, sexy, erotic and truly entertaining. Thank You K. C. for sharing your imagination with us and for choosing Cornell Collins to narrate it.

This was my first K. C. Wells book, as well as my first time listening to this narrator & I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed both! I think it actually deserves more than the 4 stars I've given, but since we don't have the option for half stars, it is what it is.

Blake & Will's story was well balanced between sweet & sexy and when conflict did arise, I felt it was handled honestly. Few things irritate me more in a book than a slight misunderstanding that becomes life-altering because everybody refuses to have a simple, though sometimes uncomfortable, conversation.

Getting this book as part of my Audible Escape membership, I'll admit that I didn't have any great expectations, but am now definitely looking forward to moving on to the next 2 books in this series!

Very enjoyable!

The first 3 chapters of this book are so boring. I almost stopped listening. It gets better but there is so much office work grind description and uggghhhh so boring. And the conflict turns out to not be a real conflict so that’s a bit unsatisfying but whatever. It’s fine.

I think this may be a case of where the the narrator can make or break a book. Some narrators do such a fabulous job that even a so so book can come alive and be riveting. Unfortunately in this case, I would say the narrator broke this book. I think he would be better suited for anything not involving romance or any sort of sexual situation. Listening to the intimate scenes was just bad. The voice was strained, but not with anything pleasant. Sounded more like pain than passion. I'm currently debating whether or not to listen to the next book in the series or buying the kindle version. Definitely would not buy the audio, but may listen if it is included in the Romance Package.

As for the story itself. It was decent, but I'm afraid my opinion of the story may be influenced by the narration. It was definitely not the best or the worst book I've listened to.

Decent story with the wrong narration
