Irish Accent To Die For!

In the beginning of this, Claire irritated me so much, though her voice is an absolute pleasure! The way she treated Sarah in her classroom, was just sad, especially when she insinuated that Sarah cheated on a paper. My partner is a college prof, and I had to ask her what she thought of that scene. She said that you really have to have concrete evidence to even insinuate. My point was proven, Claire was wrong there on so many levels.
As the story progressed, I really felt for Sarah. Claire made her jump through so many hoops, to even hope for some crumbs to be thrown her way. Claire’s baggage was padlocked, and needed a bloodhound to sniff through it all. Sarah was to be commended for hanging in there, and she had the patience of the saints.
I think one of the cruelest things that Claire did was to show up in Boston, just as Sarah was going on the ice. Of course Sarah’s hopes skyrocketed, only for Claire to tell her after the game, that she was calling off any relationship that they could have. This was a brilliant piece of writing, as you can feel the hope that Sarah had as soon as she saw Claire.
Claire’s parents didn’t have a clue as to how their parenting style, or lack of, left such an effect on their daughter. Despite her upbringing, I think Claire was a great mother to her daughter.
When Claire returned to Ireland, and Sarah followed her, finally Claire began redeeming herself, as someone worthy of Sarah.
I would have loved for there to have been an epilogue, to tie up the broken relationship between Claire’s young daughter, and Sarah. It would have been great to have been privy to that conversation. Perhaps there is a second book in the works?
There’s so much more to explore of these characters that I didn’t want this to end, until every bit had been laid out, and examined.
Lori Prince did a stellar job on the narration. It wasn’t as if all of the characters had an Irish accent, only Claire did. The transition of Irish accent to Canadian was very smooth. The entire book was very enjoyable to listen too. If there is a second book, I hope this performer is again the narrator.

I loved the story but...

I really loved this book but it definitely felt like the writer took a couple chapters out to shorten it. In the beginning of the book it felt like things were missing and like the writing had chosen to shorten it.

Slow Burn; want more!

Appreciated the mixing of 2 worlds.
Mixing a single hockey player with a divorced mother and her professor!
Lots of old baggage to be cleared up and decisions finally made. So loved the end. I want more of their story!
Lori Prince did a great Irish accent!!

It was a slow burn loved the build up! Would read another by this author and Lori Prince is always great!

wonderful story

This a wonderful story that keeps you interested until the very end. i loved how the conflict between the two main characters. i would have like to seen more of thr child . kids don't just up a disappear.while the parent has a new love interest.

Sarah and Claire are keepers. This love story is worth a second listen—one of Lori Prince’s best reads. No blarney :-).

Super Sweet!

This book really goes beyond a typical wow romance and dives into healing childhood trauma, closing of major chapters in one's life, and complexities of dating someone with a child. Made me think and reflect on my own life and the relationships I have my parents, my wife, and my child. Amazing book!

Lori's narration is superb and her Irish accent was pretty good!!

A sweet but very slow burn story. The ending felt a bit rushed but well worth the listen to. Lori Prince as usual was excellent

Very good "meet cute" w/great narration!

The story by Tracey Richardson is a well written charmer. The star of this story, though, is the stellar performance by Lori Prince. I have long been a fan of Ms. Prince's work, most notably on some of Robin Alexander's works that are set in the southern U.S. I am not Irish, so I may not be the best judge, but I thought her voice/accent for Claire was VERY well done. Brava!

It's good but

Very slow burn and I would say it is a cute book but not very steamy at all. If that is why you are looking for this isn't it.
