Publisher's summary

Chloe Carmichael's life feels pretty sweet—she's both maid of honor and florist for her best friend's A-list wedding, things are getting serious with her boyfriend, and her flower shop is about to get a spread in a national magazine. But it all quickly turns sour whenever the best man, Bad Habit drummer A.J. Edwards, shows his face...his handsome, unforgettable face. A.J. is everything Chloe doesn't want: tattooed, selfish, and all-around bad news. So why can't she stop thinking about him?

Goody two-shoes Chloe isn't exactly A.J.'s type, either, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. A.J. will be the first to say he isn't a saint, but there's something he's not saying—something that would devastate Chloe. The only way he can protect her is to push her away, but the drummer finds he needs her now more than ever. When a wedding-day confrontation reveals secrets they're both hiding, will Chloe and A.J. ever find their rhythm again?

HE DIDN'T WANT TO WANT HER..BUT SHE FOUGHT FOR HIM

From the moment Florist Chloe and AJ, the handsome broody drummer of Bad Habit, met (in book 1) it was hate and insults at first sight but the tension, sniped words and heated glares was a carefully erected facade to hide AJ's true feelings for Chloe. And, as they spend more and more time together, it's obvious to Chloe that AJ has a tortured soul hiding secrets - but those dark memories and sins from AJ's past is crushing him..... because he's sure that once Chloe knows the truth she'll leave him.

Chloe is in a long term relationship with a mild mannered Cop but secretly her thoughts are consumed by the sexy, confusing, mysterious and dark AJ who, despite everything, makes certain 'body parts' tingle. But soon jealousy turns the mild mannered Cop into an evil villain with chilling bloody consequences. When Chloe and AJ call a ceasefire to all the sniping at each other it leaves them with the sexual tension and sizzling chemistry that's been heating up which can only go one way...... it boils over as passion, lust, sex and recklessness erupts. And, as they grow closer and closer, it's not long before secrets are spilled, mutual feelings are shared and days of bliss and passion are enjoyed. However, there's still one BIG devastating secret that AJ feels cannot ever be told to anyone which results in a brutal betrayal followed by tears, distress, grief and two broken hearts..... until the final earth shattering WHOA of a puzzle piece, that AJ's been holding back, is revealed which uncovers a heartbreaking revelation and a shocking twist that nobody could ever have suspected. But he's not the only one with life changing news.

This is mainly told from Chloe's POV with very few short Chapters from AJ's and the narration was ok but one tiny niggle... AJ had a slight Russian accent when narrated by Teri but there was no accent to his voice when narrated by Sebastian so seemed like different characters. Great story..... emotional, multi-layered, sometimes funny, sometimes scary, sometimes sassy, touching and romantic with interesting secondary characters (including updates on Kat and Nico's Wedding plans). A slow to develop romance driven plot that was very addictive because I was hooked waiting for them to get together, then I was nervously dreading a breakup, anxious if they'd make up and totally floored by the unseen heart wrenching twist.

Worth a credit? All this drama, angst and emotional turmoil made a very enjoyable listen that would definitely have been worth a credit but, at under $8, I just bought it saving the credit for a costlier listen.

4.5 Fantastic Romantic Suspense @$7.34 Bargain

HOLY HELL! This book……this book nearly gutted me. I didn’t have the backstory to AJ and Chloe’s history, since I hadn’t read book one, but I didn’t feel I needed it. AJ hates Chloe and she doesn’t know why, so by default, she decides to hate him back, but she really can’t bring herself to hate him. You can tell he just generally struggles to be around her and it reminded me of when as kids the boys are mean to the girls they really like.

AJ is a dark and broody man, who is the drummer for the famous band, Bad Habit. My heart broke over and over and over for him. I have never seen a character with so much self-hate and loathing before. Chloe is sweet, strong and determined to find out AJ’s story. JT takes you on such an emotional roller-coaster with this story, plus the twists and turns will keep you sucked in from page one. I shed many tears reading this and as soon as I finished it, I bought book one. I cannot wait for the next one! I highly recommend this book.

Teri Clark Linden , Sebastian York were good with the delivery of the story. However, Sebastian York had so few parts in the book I couldn't see the point of dual narration. another slight annoyance Teri used a Russian accent for AJ and Sebastian did not.

Don't be fooled: not much of SY narration

This shows that there were 2 narrators. However, Sebastian York only read about 3 or 4 chapters of the entire 12 hour book. It was extremely unrealistic, insta-love with too much drama and darkness. I will not invest in book 1 or 3 (whenever that comes out). I bought this for half price, and I still don't think it was worth it. It could just be me.

Good book, but one thing is really irritating

Why does the girl author speak her male voice with an accent? The book says his accent is slightly noticeable. She speaks with a full Russian accent!! So annoying. As always, Sebastian York got it right.

Narration ruined it for me

What would have made Make Me Sin better?

Let Sebastion York read A.J's (the male) part

How could the performance have been better?

I do not understand why the female narrator read almost ALL of the male parts. Her performance reading the male part was terrible

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I liked the storyline but it was hurt by the performance

Disappointing

I was so happy to see Sebastian York on here. That's honestly why I bought it. He was excellent in the tiny role he had. It mentions numerous times that AJ doesn't have an accent. Sebastian York didn't use an accent. However, the female narrator spoke the mail parts with a heavy accent. It was very off putting.

...

The narrator definitely ruined this for me I'm normally not this hard on audio books but I think I definitely would've like it more and paid more attention of I could get past the narrator's voice. Her accent and voice when portraying AJ especially.

Great Listen!

This is book two in the series. I was underwhelmed by book 1, but two is engaging, sexy and interesting. I think that the drama of AJ pushing Chloe away because of his past and internal demons was little drawn out so I discounted one star. Other than that I have to say this was a very worthwhile read. I do not feel my precious credit was wasted and I throughly enjoyed this listen!

Narration Performance: Ms Linden does a great job with her female voice, it took some effort to get used to her "foreign accent" male voice. Mr. York, as usually, gives a stellar performance.

Credit worthy and sale worthy!

A very well done tear jerker

What does Teri Clark Linden and Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Teri Clarke's male voices were more enticing that the male narrator. S.Y. Is a good narrator but not right for this book. Ms Clarke is exceptioal

Any additional comments?

Even though some of the problems the main characters faced were somewhat predictable they still caught u off guard with the emotions brought out by both the author and Teri Clarke. I cried multiple times and laughed out loud at other times. I love this series a lot. It is hard not to fall in love with the characters. The first book was also this well done. Grab them up. One last thing; being an extreme audiobook junkie, I can say the most important thing for these books are the narrator choices. I have a problem with certain narrators that bother me so much I won't even chance certain series. Sigh

LOVE IT......The secrets were a dozy!

Wow! Chloe and AJ's story was stunning, and all I can do is ditto all the positive reviews! The mysterious AJ's secrets were heartbreaking! He wanted to be with Chloe, but wanted to protect her heart more, so he did the only thing he could think of, he pushed her away. Before Chloe and AJ found their HEA, their journey was bumpy filled with heartache, longing, secrets, and hit rock bottom. While AJ pushed her away, he was in the shadows watching and protecting her.

The narration was perfect. I loved how Terri portrayed AJ's character! Well worth a credit!

good plot - narration questionable

the story was good. A but irritating at first until I understood why AJ acted the way he did then my heart just broke for him. the narration is what I found irritating. the female voices were okish although even Chloe's voice could grate as it sounded like a teenager. AJ's voice from the female narrator was terrible. it made everything that came from him bizzare and not the least bit sexy. it just put me off him and I could never picture him as the swoon worthy character he was meant to be, he just sounded blah
I'd recommend reading this one not listening.

Amazing

Any additional comments?

I loved this book! AJ Edward had many layers to him and I loved seeing the layers being peeled back by Chloe! This book was highly emotional as well and had me crying more then once. AJ's past was really traumatic and he really deserved to find happiness! There were some good twists in the book as well. The end left me dying for the next book as I'm very curious about Brody and Grace!

I also loved Chloe's big brother James, he was an awesome character and I hope he finds his HEA as well. Kenji also provided a lot of laughs, he is just such a brilliant character and I love his confidence! This book is the perfect balance of rip-your-heart-out emotions and laugh-out-loud humour! I highly recommend it!

Good story but irritating voice.

I would’ve stopped listening to this book 30 seconds into it if it was for free but paid for it so finished. The voice of the women in it is so irritating you want to rip our own ears of not to listen to it. The supposed Russian man is just as crap, probably the same actor

Better than the first book

I much preferred this story to the first 'Sin' story, far more likeable lead characters.

However, given that this title had 2 narrators, I believe that better use should have been made of the male narrator. I think that he only featured in 3 chapters! That was such a waste!!

Brilliant

What did you like most about Make Me Sin?

It was not predictable, the story kept moving and it was captivating

What did you like best about this story?

No one particular thing really as it was a great story. It starts off quite light but gets really deep and serious

Have you listened to any of Teri Clark Linden and Sebastian York ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I love Sebastian York and have listened to most of his books so far, the female narrator was new to me but I liked her voice

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes but I don't want to spoil it for other readers

Any additional comments?

I assume there is going to be a follow up to this book since it did not have an ending, so with that in mind, I am really looking forward to it.

What a great book

I love this author and can't wait for more in this series. It's not the usual perfect lives as characters. The combination of drama, humour and tear jerking sadness at times is a sign of a great book

Great story line

Loved this book I had to listen from start to finish nearly
Only disappointment was the very limited chapters Sebastian York had and they we're only 5 mins long. I love listening to him and buy audio books he is narrating.

Much better than the first

What made the experience of listening to Make Me Sin the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the story and having read the first book the characters had grown on me.

What other book might you compare Make Me Sin to, and why?

May be Sinners books but I believe this series holds its own. Little more mature in story

Have you listened to any of Teri Clark Linden and Sebastian York ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Sebastian York could read me a flat pack instruction manual and I would be hot however I really don't think he was needed for this story. Teri had it under control and it was a little disorientating having two people speak for the same character. But please don't tell Seb I said that!!

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Its was just entertaining and good to listen too

Any additional comments?

I think I'm looking forward to the next one although lets face it if the innuendo is anything to go by Grace and Brodie are in for one hell of a ride. See that's how good the book was I remember some of the other characters.
