Very different take on magic!
I am giving this 5 stars because so many people gave this series and this book terrible ratings. This was a good story about a girl that really had to step up and become something special. Through all of the challenges she always had the ability to win thru to the end. A very interesting magic system Involves bonding to a specific type of metal or knife. An existing culture that still makes use of a past technology, when they really have no idea how it works. I really enjoyed listening to this whole series and will keep my eyes open for other books from Rati Mehrotra. Well Done!
