Ingeniously dark & twisted Wonderland!

Vampires in Wonderland? A creatively dark twist of a fairy tale, where the lore of vampires become real and a clever retelling brings our favorite Wonderland characters into a whole fresh, colorful, and sinister light giving us quite an exciting adventure to follow. I’m captivated by the imaginative world these authors created, the brilliant spins and twists of the original story and the conflicts these characters face, as well as the overall redefining of the characters and their significance to one another. This book focused on the Mad Hatter, Maddie, and she was a sure delight as she contemplated between good and evil, saving the day, and giving in to her heart’s true desires. I do recommend to start this series with the prequel novella, Rav, as that’s truly where the story begins and Maddie’s book continues from there. This series has me thoroughly intrigued and I look forward to more! Eva Caine continued her flawless performance, as she breathed life into a quirky and devious cast of characters, elevating the emotional overtones in a rather dark and dangerous world, and allowing us to become connected as if we were in the story ourselves. A fabulous listening experience that made this ingenious tale all the more enjoyable.

Love fractured fairy tales!

I’ve been on a retold fairy tales kick lately. I really enjoyed seeing how the authors brought in so many details from the original. The narration was excellent.

My only suggestion: there’s a lot of detail and timeline-skipping in the first chapter, so I ended up relistening to it. Not a problem, but a warning for a new listener to give the book time before giving up on it. The world building and storyline are worth it.

Note: I’m a binge-reader and don’t enjoy waiting for the next part of the series. I rarely start an incomplete series. You can imagine my distress over finding out the rest of the books, while published, aren’t released in audiobook format.

This book does not end on a cliffhanger but it’s very obviously not the end of the story.

okay well i wasn't expecting that ending. holy moly did the red queen get what she deserved. but know everyone is on the run. what is to come next. well i don't know. but i can't wait to find out. the narrator did a really good job too.

What a fun read!

Alice in Wonderland... with vampires! Yes please!!! I loved this book! Maddie, the hatter, is doing what she can to save her sister from the Queen of Hearts. All the original characters are recreated throughout the book and I squealed whenever another popped up. Such a fun fractured fairytale!

Well narrated, New Vampire series

In a well narrated, New Vampire series world of paranormals, which could have been described with more detail, Maddie and Noah combine forces to rescue their sisters.

Ingeniously delicious take on Wonderland

Based on Alice in Wonderland, Maddie follows the eccentric Maddie the Hatter through a Wonderland of vampires, for a twisted take on the classic tale. The pictures the author paints of Wonderland inhabited by Vampires are vivid and fun to compare to your own envisioning of the same elements of classic tale along side them. While the story is based on Alice in Wonderland, the plot of this book turns the story on its head by centering the Mad Hatter as the Main Female Character and it’s done quite effectively, making it all the more enjoyable to re-experience Wonderland in this new way. This telling is quick to the action and simmers to burns on the romance for Maddie. While the author takes time for character development, she weaves in language and scenes that amp up the heat from start to finish. The story was completely enjoyable and craft-fully done, making it all the more impressive. Maddie surprised me with how much I loved it. I hope to see more stories set in this world.

Wonderland like you've never seen it before

I absolutely loved this new spin on Wonderland. The story was captivating and I didn't want it to end. I can't wait to see what happens next!
There was a lot of action and adventure throughout. Family, Friendships and love could be found along the way. I love Maddie's devotion to her sister.
The narrator did a great job with this story!

Wonderful story

I definitely recommend this book and throughly enjoyed listening to Maddie and Noah story. Maddie was too enjoyable at times. It’s an amazing story and the narrator was amazing too.
