Evil Maddox

Oh my word! I so very much sympathize with Sofia & admire her growth. I hope she gets to end Maddox herself & am frustrated with Hades and Damian, which means this saga keeps getting better. The narration is fine, but I’ve noticed some slight variations in the audio vs written. One in particular was the audible version referenced not speaking English, but the written version accurately referenced Italian, which is fitting considering the story takes place in Florence Italy.

What will happen with Hades and Sofia?

After all Hades endured he might finally get what he always wanted.
Will Sofia ever get over her ordeal with Maddox?
Will she ever Love Hades?
Can Hades get rid of Maddox to make Sofia feel safe?
what happens when Maddox shows up again?
so many questions before this story ends.
This story is lasting as long as Bones and Vanessa's but so different due to difference that the troubles deal inside Sofia and Hades relationship.
Penelope really knows how to twist things up stay tuned to the next book to see if their relationship survives the next hurdle

Cliffhanger again!!!

I thought this was the last book it is not!! It’s a good book but I think it should be told in the info of the book how many books there are before you get started. I would rather wait for all the books to come out then read then have to wait weeks or months to read the next book!! I would recommend this book however!

EMOTIONALLY GRIPPING.. but enough cliffhangers!!

I love your books Penelope, I preorder them as soon as they hit the lists, I also knew going in this was a four-part story.. and I bought books 1, 2 and 3 as each was released and tried to wait until book 4 was out before listening to them. But huh the lure of your books were just too strong and, like chocolate in my cupboard, they called out my name and I was defenceless and couldn’t resists their pull any longer. And I loved this rollercoaster angst-filled dual POV listen that tosses Hades and Sofia so many mountains to climb, ravines to cross and emotional tightropes to endure before they could finally declare their love for each other. The strong yet emotionally aloof Sofia now loves the man that has loved, been besotted and obsessed with her from day one, the husband that would willingly die to protect her, the alpha Drug Lord with a very clever enemy who outmanoeuvres his every move and the man who, despite it all, is about to lose her again.

But Penelope, as much as I love your work (and I’ve bought every single one of your audiobooks), I hate them too.. I hate the endless cliffhangers and the endless credits I have to spend to finally hear the HEA. Please I beg beg beg you.. stick to well-packed trilogies, arrange with Audible to actually finish previous series that haven’t yet been closed - you know the ones where I’ve spent so many credits on but never had closure. I listen to a lot of audiobooks in-between yours and I lose the ebb and tides of your stories, the cast of characters blur, the terrain of the plots fade and the strong emotional cocktail of feels held within them dilute.. and, to be frank, I’m getting a wee bit frustrated too. I desperately want book 4 now but I’ll have to impatiently wait until April or May for the final part of Hades and Sofia’s addictive, moving, passionate and heartachingly problematic romance to finally conclude... sigh. I say to anyone not yet on-board the Hades and Sofia train.. wait if you can until all four books are released because the wait will kill you and water-down the feels. Books 5, 6 and 7 will be Damien’s story and I’ll wait until all three books are released.. and I’ve got book 1 of this well-loved author’s new Wolf seres in my library but again, I’ll be waiting until they’re all out before starting it.

Worth a credit? Yes but I’m getting so weary of the frustrating cliffhangers which demand yet another credit be spent from this and many other authors. So I’m off to listen to a whole full story now.. ok it might not be as emotionally suspenseful.. but it’s a WHOLE story with no cliffy ending.. oh the joy.
