A pasture of dead trees, a hostile takeover of the Santa barn by a family of raccoons, and shipments that have mysteriously gone missing—Lovelight Farms is not the magical winter wonderland of Stella Bloom’s dreams.

In an effort to save the Christmas tree farm she’s loved since she was a kid, she enters a contest with instafamous influencer Evelyn St. James. With the added publicity and the $100,000 cash prize, she might just be able to save the farm from its financial woes. There’s just one problem. To make the farm seem like a romantic destination for the holidays, she lied on the application and said she owns Lovelight Farms with her boyfriend. Only there is no boyfriend.

Enter her best friend Luka Peters. He just came home for some hot chocolate, and somehow got a farm and a serious girlfriend in the process.

Lovelight Farms is a romantic comedy featuring a handsome freckled data analyst, a messy, optimistic Christmas-tree-farm owner, and a small town with the best hazelnut lattes on the east coast.

This sweet and steamy romance is a holiday happily ever after and the first book in a series of interconnected standalones following the three Lovelight owners.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"Narrator Pippa Jayne delights listeners in this festive friends-to-lovers romantic comedy.... Jayne's light, melodic tone complements Stella's charismatic and passionate personality. Plus, her ability to capture Luka's masculine voice adds to the slowly building but irresistible chemistry between him and Stella. Listeners will cheer as Stella and Luka go from fake to forever in this holiday romance." (AudioFile)

It is magical, witty, and steamy as all get out. The characters are just as loveable as the adorable farm backdrop. The writing is perfection and I want more!

If you are a fan of a small-town holiday romance with a fake dating, friends-to-lovers twist, this book is for you. I really enjoyed Stella and Luka's blossoming romance. The loveable cast of characters was the perfect addition to this cute love story. I can't wait to grab the other books in this series! This is an author I will definitely keep reading.

This is the cutest book. I could not put the book down -- or I guess stop listening. If you are a fan of the Well Met series by Jen Deluca, this book gives similar vibes. It's not just a holiday book -- you can definitely read it after the holiday season and still love it.

Spicy Chapters: 15, 17, 19, 23,

Luka (MMC) and Stella (FMC)

Single POV narration 😕

My first impressions were that I was very quickly invested in the MC's relationship and wanted them to take a chance into becoming more than friends, preferably asap. However, it was a slow burn that seemed to drag on for ages, imo.
I appreciate that the MC's had been friends for a decade and referred to their past experiences often, which gives the characters depth and history. However, it made me as the reader feel like an outsider to their relationship instead of being right there in the story with them (not sure if this makes sense to anybody else).

The 'Friends to Lovers' trope isn't my favorite as I rarely find that the "obstacles" for them being together are that relevant or even a real obstacle. In this case (as it is often), Stella doesn't want to "ruin their friendship." I'm sorry, but this "exuse" not to be together has been written again and again, so VERY original, it is NOT. However, the way Stella longs for Luka so deeply made me want to root for their relationship - so that it grew and evolved into something real.

Unfortunately, this book has a single POV, which made it really hard to grasp what Luka was really feeling towards Stella at times, especially at the start of the story. However, through his actions and thoughtfulness, he shows Stella that he's a steady and constant part of her world, someone who's willing to support her and be there for her no matter what.

This book reminded me of "People we meet on Vacation" by EH in the sense that there's so much angst. But it annoys me that they could've been enjoying each other as a couple for YEARS should they simply have had an honest, straightforward, mature conversation 😩😤🙄.

By the end of chapter 12 (of 22), hardly nothing had happened. The story just dragged on for what seemed ages, without much development in the plot. Thankfully, after that point, things start to get interesting and by the last third of the book (once the two MC's finally get together) I was very eager to find out more and flew through the pages.

Luka is a total mamma boy, let's be honest. Don't get me wrong, I love it when an MMC is caring of his mother, but as a grown ass man still having to speak to her on the phone every single day, seems a bit much to me 🤨. This is just an observation, and luckily, Stella is close to his family as well, so it'll probably not be an issue for them.
On the other hand, Luka falls first and is VERY PATIENT & sweet. He's honest about his feelings for Stella. He's also super affectionate and adorable, loves to cuddle, and is a complete cinnamon roll.

This was my first book by the author, and I'm planning to continue the story to see what happens next.

Happy reading! 📚

Sweet slow burn, friends to lovers story ❤️

The story was cute. A nice little holiday romance. What I cannot get over is how the narrator didn’t seem to bother to make sure she was pronouncing things correctly. There is a reference to Law and Order SVU and one of the detectives there. Narrator says his name as STABler (like the word Stab). Later she pronounces Salute (the Italian word) as Sa-loo-tay.
I almost returned the book at that point but didn’t because I was enjoying the story.

Good story, Terrible Research in pronunciation

To be honest, it took me a little while to get into this book, but once I did I completely fell for these characters and this little town. Stella with her kitchen aid mixer box of scented cardboard trees and 70 pillows on the bed, Luka with his dancing chicken nugget socks and passion for data analytics, and my personal favorite side character… Beckett with his pocket full of kittens!! These characters were adorably quirky and felt so real.

I wanted to smack Stella upside the head at times for not opening her eyes, but friends to lovers can be a tough time for our lovable characters. The fear of more, no matter how amazing it could be, at the risk of losing what you already have is a scary proposition.

While I would always prefer an audiobook that has a female and male narrator when there are female and male voices, since this is single POV, it totally makes sense to have only a female narrator. This was my first time listening to Pippa Jayne. Her voice was really soothing. When Stella was looking at Luka or thinking about him and Pippa voiced that inner monologue, she really took me into the moment.

Sweet story with characters that come to life
