Wonderful Story

A series about the Rivers family, the people they love and the community they serve. After years of being away Brody Clark is back as part of the med evac team. Val Valentine, DMV, has also come back to help her friend with his practice. It’s time to mend the relationships and past. Great series.

A Bit Short But Beautiful

Being a veteran I really connected with this story. I always like seeing the characters from the series in each book I wish this series were a TV show- it would be like the show Brother and Sisters with medical and queer themes- there is so much potential- I love the community you have created

What the?

Loved the family coming back together. Felt the shame and hurt from Brody, ‘cause she tried to make things right. I really hoped to find out who was trashing her surroundings, that answer should be forthcoming in the next book?

Great Book

Another amazing part of the Rivers series.
the only thing I though was the ending was really abrupt. so I hope we get some since of closer in the next book.

complex characters. great dialog, both internal and external. very enjoyable. I can't wait for the next edition.

Long overdue

Well, I have been waiting for a new book written by Radclyffe for a long time. I love her writing, the way she develops a story and the characters, and she didn’t disappoint me with another great book. I hope I will net have to wait so long. It was great to get reacquainted with the Rivers family and hear some more about some of the people in this family.
Paige McKinney was great as usual.

Could have been so much better

I was so very frustrated. McKinney is so stilted and careful in her reading that she loses the feeling of the moment. Very flat.

Not Radcliffe’s Best

Weak story to the series. Kind of left hanging.
Please stop using Paige McKinney as the narrator. Terrible. Seriously, stop. I’d rather my Mom narrate the book, sex and all.
Story was.....meh. If there is a part 2, this is a good set up.

unlikable main character

This book frustrated me to the max. Brody seems to be emotionally slow, with poor decision making skills. The book also just ended out of nowhere. Not that I'm complaining. I've loved all the previous books in this series, along with the characters. This one was a letdown.
